This book is a must have for people suffering from FMS. It is the only book on the market today that offers a step by step treatment for reversing Fibromyalgia. It also offers information about the disease itself and the cluster of symptoms that come along with it such as: fatigue, IBS, skin irritations, vulvodynia, hypoglycemia, ect... This book will help you understand your body and how fibromyalgia affects it. It will also provide solutions for coping and controlling your symptoms until the guaifenesin makes them go away. I can truly say that Dr. St. Amand's protocol has not only changed my life, but it has saved my life. Ten short months ago (Feb. 1999) I was in the hospital fighting for my life from an overdose of pain medications & antidepressants given to me by a rheumatoligst, who claimed that these medications were the only way to deal with fibromyalgia. Today I have been on Dr. St. Amands treatment for 11 months and 8 days. I no longer need or take any pain medication and my family doctor is now weaning me off of prozac. I am happy and have the will to live again. Please do yourself a favor, read this book, and start the protocol. It's not easy but it works!

Two years ago I heard about the guai protocol in Dr. Devin Starlanyl's book. I was intrigued with the first information I saw about how to reverse this lousy illness. Unfortunately the information was limited. Some more digging on the internet and I was able finally get started on the guai protocol. I WISH I HAD THIS BOOK WHEN I STARTED. I live across the country from Dr. St. Armand and had to figure out things more on my own. If I had this book I would have had a great resource to turn to. Even after nearly two years of following this protocol, I still learned alot from this book. I am so much better today than I was two years ago. I sleep better, my TMJ pain is gone, headaches are gone, energy level is better, digestive problems are better, overall pain level is lower, disabling wrist pain is gone....I could go on and on, but instead if you have fibromyalgia and ever want to have hope of getting well again....BUY THIS BOOK! It is well worth every penny.

For the last ten years I have become increasingly ill with a series of seemingly unrelated complaints: disabling fatigue, allergies, chemical sensitivities, severe muscle pain, headaches, depression, itchy skin, etc. I have shuffled from one diagnosis to another with no relief in sight. I found this book and realized finally, I WAS NOT ALONE! These are symptoms we all share as people who suffer from a very real and debilitating disease called fibromyalgia. This book is the first I've read that offers a protocol that has been successful for many people. I found a Dr. and started the protocol one week after reading it and have already reaped some of the benefits promised. This treatment is not,as Dr. St. Armand says "for the faint of heart", but there is a support group of people just like you who have started on the road to wellness and will help you on your journey also. We share ideas and focus on getting well. Many of us have. I promise you this book will not disappoint you and reading it will give you an immediate benefit: HOPE.

It's confusing in parts but I'm reading over some of it again.
I'm not sure a cold medicine can reverse Fibro but if that's true then I'm all for it. This would be a big breakthrough for studies in other types of illnesses such as this.
