I purchased this book and another called "Sinus Relief Now" at the same time. The diagrams and explanations in this book were inferior.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative and helpful!, March 2, 2010
This review is from: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About(TM): Sinusitis: Relieve Your Symptoms and Identify the Source of Your Pain (Paperback)
I was surprised that a Psychiatrist would write a book about Sinusitis and was curious what he had to say about it. Dr. Hirsch talks a lot about the importance of the sense of smell which he says is underestimated. Loss of the sense of smell is associated with depression-96% correlation. Victims realize subconsciously that they're in a state of peril-can't smell smoke, etc. It also causes loss of the ability to taste, which results in an increased risk of food poisoning. He says to increase fluid intake and use nasal irrigation to control chronic Sinusitis. A well written book written with a lot of care, not dry and clinical like some others.
