I'm fascinated by dreams and often wonder what the more profound ones mean. This book helps you interpret the most common dream themes and shows you how they are meant to guide us in our every day life.

Our dreams are telling us something, and if you're like me, and wonder `what', then this book is a great resource. The book isn't textbook style (thankfully) but instead delivers an upbeat, positive look at our nightly visions and what they're trying to tell us.

I enjoyed this book, and found many answers to questions I had. A short, easy read with a wealth of information.

I've kept dream journals on and off since adolescence; my dreams have often fascinated me and I've gotten a lot of story ideas from them in the past. When Chosen Books gave me the opportunity to request this book for review I decided to take them up on the offer.

What this book does is basically covers the importance of paying attention to your dreams and walks you through how you can learn to interpret them. Common dream themes and symbols are covered with the reminder that depending on the person these themes and symbols may have an entirely different meaning.

As I read this book I tended to think the author was being too optimistic about dreams, because the first half of the book made it sound like dreams are always helpful and good. I was glad to see this actually addressed in chapter six where the author categorizes dreams as coming from Truth, Lie, or Self. I do believe that God can still give people messages in dreams but I also believe that dreams can come from other more negative sources as well. Chapter six helped to balance out the first half of the book. I think it would have been better to have this information earlier to avoid confusion however, but at least it was included eventually.

I will say that this book has helped me develop more awareness about my dreams and I think has helped me to correctly interpret a couple of dreams I've had. It was an interesting read on an interesting topic.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

When I picked up this book, I expected to read of people who are very in touch with their dreams. Instead, I found a guidebook, a manual of sorts that walks the average person through dream interpretation.

Included are very practical chapters that untangle the mysteries of dreams by explaining things such as the various types of dreams, how to determine the source, and what to do with the message. Common themes are analyzed, and an appendix includes symbols that may appear regularly.

Plenty of examples help you hone your skills at interpretation, and a dream journal at the end gives you direction in what parts of the dream might point you toward a certain message. For those who don't think they dream or those who only wake with vague remembrances, a whole chapter is dedicated to helping you reawaken your dreams.

Not only is this book interesting in the theory it presents, but it is extremely useful as a handbook to dream interpretation. I've kept it close since I began reading it and imagine it will continue to be a great reference.

In What Your Dreams Are Telling You, Cindy McGill is sharing with readers on how to learn how to interpret your dreams and discover the hidden meaning behind them. She revealed that she believed that dreams are personal and they assist us in being hopeful about our future. She also goes into prodigious detail about our dreams and their meanings. For instance, she covered flying or swimming underwater, falling, being chased, naked in public, vehicles, taking a test/ going back to school, and so many more common dreams. She even gives crucial questions to ask and suggested action to take in comprehending the dreams. Cindy also went into dreams that famous people experienced like Kristen Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, and more and she explained their meaning.

I would recommend this excellent book to every believer who is experiencing dreams that are complicated and they are pondering and troubled by their meaning. I immensely benefited from the dream symbol appendix because this one included dreams symbols about ants, airplanes, pregnant, school, driving your car, etc. This book brought to life the how to interpret dreams and how to discover their true significance. While I was reading this book, I actually had a dream that ants were crawling all over me and I was extremely stressed at the time and I had a lot of school work to finish. The ant means “hard worker”. I especially love how she included a section in the book where readers could write down what the dream was about and she asked helpful questions in order to figure out the overall message. This book is meant to be reread when readers are looking for guidance on their dreams interpretations and it will greatly impact your life. If you’re seeking a book on discovering your dreams meaning, then please read this one!
