From the Author

What Your Dreams Can Teach You (WYDCTY for short) is an excellent book if you are seriously interested in understanding your dreams. It's not a dream dictionary, with a convenient list of symbols and their interpretations, because no one can really understand what those dream symbols mean except you. You had the dream. The images are your images. The trick is learning how to make sense of what things mean for you, not someone else. WYDCTY shows you how to do that.

I taught workshops, seminars and retreats on dreams and accessing the unsconscious mind for years with a lot of success seeing folks break into excited recognition when the meaning came through. The book has two parts. The first part provides simple, practical instructions for remembering and working with your dreams. Exercises, worksheets, it's all there. It tells you how to get in touch with something I call "The Dreamer Within". This part of you knows what the dreams mean.

The second part gives numerous examples of real dreams about different things and shows you how to break down and understand the images. That is how you learn to do it.

Dreams can give you valuable information about your health, your relationships, problems that are bothering you and more. You will like this book, if you want to access the wisdom of your unconscious mind. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

More About the Author

I'm a former Marine and musician. My first book was a Sword and Sorcery novel, "The Bane of Kanthos", published as an Ace paperback in 1969 under the pen name of Alex Dain.

I live in Northern California in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. I like riding old, fast motorcycles, sipping Barnados rum and playing guitar, usually not at the same time.

I write action/adventure thrillers. WHITE JADE is the first in a series featuring the PROJECT, a covert counter-terrorism unit. THE LANCE is second in the series. The third book is now in revision and will be out early in 2012. For more, please visit my website at www.alexlukeman.org.

This review is from: What Your Dreams Can Teach You (Paperback)
I have loved looking at dreams for over 15 years. I found the dream dictionaries to be really bogus. Dr. Lukeman's book is the best book about dreams I have read. The first part of the book teaches you about understanding your own dreams. The second part is filled with dream examples. I learned so much from this book especially about looking at symbols and finding out what they mean. He explains how every dream has a message and sometimes a dream even suggests an action for you to take. This is a great book.
