By Olga Benedetto (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What did Jesus Really Say? (Paperback)
This book is an excellent resource for the Christian who wants to know the arguments that Muslims have toward Christianity. If you are serious about defending your faith, you must read this book. In order to give an answer you must first know the objections. This is a must have in your library.

What did Jesus (pbuh) Really Say, unbiased book to read,
By A Customer
This review is from: What did Jesus Really Say? (Paperback)
Part of my duty, as a Muslim, is to like for my brothers in humanity what I like for myself. In addition to reading the Holly Qur'an, I also read in the Bible as much as time permit. Frankly, I found in the Bible many contradictions that are hard to digest, specially what is related to the status of Jesus (Peace be upon him) and the concept of trinity. By reading some of the most famous Christian commentry about these subjects make it even more confusing. On the other hand, while reading the book at hand (What did Jesus Really Say) and articles by Christian scholars (Priests and scientists) who converted to Islam, I think I came closer to understand, love and beleif in the true message of Jesus (pbuh). This book and the those articles confirmed the special status and high honur of Jesus (pbuh) stated by the Holly Qur'an as one of the five mighty messengers and he (Jesus, (pbuh)) will come back before the Day of judgement to lead the beleivers in God Almighty and to denounce what was said on his behalf that he never said. In conclusion, I think this book is a must read for people who seek the truth.

This review is from: What did Jesus Really Say? (Paperback)
This book provides a concise but excellent coverage of the evolution of Christianity. It also covers very basic challenges to the concept of Trinity. I would highly recommend this book to all Christians in order to better evaluate their beliefs.

Great question, good research. He should do it for his own religion too.,
By Brian Griffith (Toronto, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What did Jesus Really Say? (Paperback)
This book starts out well, with a challenging question. The author seems to have an open mind and a thirst for real dialogue. He draws on much of the best Christian scholarship to investigate what Jesus really said, as compared to what others later said about him. For the first third of the book I found it fascinating. I love this kind of grand detective game to discern the original face of a great religion.Unfortunately ibn Abdullah slowly wanders beyond his leading topic. He goes into tremendous detail compiling the many contradictions between different parts or versions of the Bible. He makes comparisons to non-canonical writings or the Dead Sea Scrolls. The implication, it seems, is that the Bible is riddled with conflicts and errors. Then, rather than investigate the Bible any further, ibn Abdullah offers the Islamic scriptures as a flawless alternative. For the last third of the book ibn Abdullah gives Islamic answers to biblical questions. He is informative so far as he goes. But here we find no critical inquiry into the evolution of Islamic teaching. We hear nothing of the historic controversies over which sayings attributed to the Prophet or which interpretations of the Quran are most authentic. If only ibn Abdullah could bring the same spirit of open inquiry to his own tradition that he brings to other peoples', he might get a real detective story going. -author of Correcting Jesus

Freakkin everything i wanted from this book,
This review is from: What did Jesus Really Say? (Paperback)
This book is exactly what I wanted! I was looking for a book that systematically addresses all the conflicts between Islam and Christianity. Every muslim, living in a christian nation at least, should own a copy of this book. It contains a ridiculous amount of information from various sources in essence covering all bases and also the sources it cites are excellent sources for more information for ex. the gospel of barnabas, jesus prohpet of islam, books by ahmad deedat, "the dead sea scrolls, the gospel of barnabas and the new testament by Yusseff". This book needs to go into print again and sell like a million copies, or maybe 6 billion.

Straw Man,
By
This review is from: What did Jesus Really Say? (Paperback)
Do you like a straw man argument? Basically this author has no idea of what the Christian Bible is or how scholars interpret it. Such ignorance would be amusing if it did not have such serious consequences. This book is not worth your time or money unless you are already convinced and just want someone to spoon feed you false pap.
