I'm using an Ibanez RG120. It's my first guitar, I've had it for probably 6 years now. This game is pretty much exactly what I needed to learn how to finally play guitar correctly.

Ibanez RG321 (Mahogany Oil color). I got it a few years ago as my first guitar on the advice of a friend. It's similar to yours (No tremolo, but has a mahogany body).

I'm currently using an Epiphone Special SG. Cherry red all the way up the stock, and a nice dark wood finish for the fret board. Here's a link if you want to check it out.

I just started playing guitar in Jan 2012 with Rocksmith. I purchased a Fender HHS tremolo Strat for about $120 here on Amazon. The guitar has been a great starter guitar. I have since replaced the bridge, strings and springs in the guitar and now I really love it. It is amazing how far I have come in a few months using Rocksmith

I've been playing the game for 3 days now. I've used my Fender American Strat HSS and my Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro. Both work well. I play both with just the bridge pickup selected.

I'm switching back and forth between an all-white California Classic, and two Route 66 Vintage guitars (one Honeyburst, one Goldtop). All three guitars are from Monoprice.com. I tried with a Fender Starcaster, but the action on the strings is too hard to be able to play without excessive finger pain.

The California Classic is ideal for playing while seated, while the Route 66 guitars are great for standing up.
