What is the difference between this, and this item: TAXI DRIVER ?

As far as I know, the picture has been newly remastered, approved by both Scorsese and the cinematographer. And it will feature new extras, most importantly, the 1986 audio commentary by Scorsese and Paul Schrader, which was only available on the Criterion laserdisc. So I'm definitely getting this. And at the current price, it's a steal IMO.

As far as I can tell, the Blu-ray you linked to doesn't actually EXIST.

So that would be the main difference.

Ahhh... they finally took the price & order info down... I figured that one of these was probably an error. And since the other one was more expensive, I'm glad it's the error :)

I'm still in shock that this release is only $12.99 for pre-order. That's the steal of the century. A fully restored HD transfer of a classic like Taxi Driver, for only $13? Hell, that's cheaper than the bloody DVD.

Grover Crisp knows what he's doing when it comes to restorations.

I hardly EVER buy any BD release...especially catalog releases...without seeing a review first. But I pre-ordered the hell outta this disc a month ago.

Drove 4 hours to see the re-release of this in theaters and it looked awesome! The sound was really good to but the theater wasn't the best so will have to wait til it comes out to hear how good it is now. They did an excellent job with this film and I highly recommend picking it up...especially at this price.

Can't wait for this; the movie's received an absolutely stellar 5-star review from blu-ray.com. One of the best and definitive transfers of all-time and a must-have for your Blu-Ray library.

I recieved mine and was very very impressed, it is not a cheap single disc case, it is tri-fold, and like a book and high quality , the back even feels like it resembles leather.
if you are a fan buy it while it is still 13.00 I guarantee it will go up.
