A
3/16" x 1 1/4" at most (odd how different people have different answers for this--so I rummaged in my bin and found strips the size I state and also 1/4" confetti)

A
They look like confetti instead of long strips. The stips are cut off after about 2 inches.

The size is just about 2 inches long and .5 mm wide for paper. I haven't cut credit cards or cd's yet. I hope this info helps. I would've liked the longitude to be a bit smaller, but it's perfectly fine for home use.
