Editorial Reviews

Neil De Marco and his partner Dave Menari go undercover to expose the illegal traffic of muscle-enhancing steroids in the tough, uncompromising world of body building. To gain the trust of the very man they inted to arrest, the two agents must use every strategy they can. But DeMarco, haunted by the gruesome conclusion of his last assignment, struggles to keep his composure as he and Menari fight to prove the truth and at the same time, save their own lives.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Victoria Pratt effort, July 29, 2003

The movie is not horrible, but you should choose almost ANYTHING else to watch if you have 2 hours to kill. Having said that, if you like Victoria Pratt as much as I do, it's worth buying for your Vicky collection. She's in about 7 scenes, always wearing skin-tight, hot outfits, especially the gym scenes. Get the DVD for easier access to her scenes and so that you won't have to watch the movie itself more than once. Her physique is buff, like it was in "John Woo's Once a Thief." A little fuller than her lean and cut Sarge character in "Cleopatra 2525." Victoria is a very big reason, other than Pam, to say "thank you, Canada!"

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as they say!, December 23, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Whatever It Takes (DVD)
As far as B-movies go, this one was pretty good. Dice's role wasn't really intended to be funny, but he does use some of his classic lines (including the greeting card bit from 40 Too Long). There are also a few hilarious arguments between Dice and another undercover cop (who has a pretty funny monologue about Sipowitz from NYPD Blue). Overall, you can't go wrong in a movie that has beautiful female bodybuilders, Andrew Dice Clay, and Fred Williamson. It was a better movie than Brain Smasher, and the action sequences hold up to any other martial arts B-movie.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad.., June 21, 2010

This is not bad for an indie film. Usually, you have to deal with horrible sound, cheap special effects and lousy acting. The Hammer, Dice and the Dragon make this film enjoyable.
