Sundazed presents three of Lonnie Mack's four Elektra albums, none previously available on CD. 1969's Glad I'm In The Band spotlights Lonnie's vocal talents on songs ranging from New Orleans R&B to roadhouse hillbilly. Whatever's Right is the smoothest country/soul sourmash blend this side of a Tennessee distillery. And 1971's The Hills Of Indiana, waxed in Muscle Shoals and Nashville, is a country-dominated gem. Essential to Mack's legacy, these three discs are smoking-gun evidence: Lonnie Mack was as close to a guitar god as America has ever produced.

This review is from: Whatever's Right (Audio CD)
Lonnie Mack is getting the recognition he deserves with the recent re-release of several of his albums. Whatever's Right is a huge treat! "Share Your Love With Me" is an old Bobby "Blue" Bland song that was one of that artists' very best, and Lonnie makes it even better. "I Found A Love" will remind everyone why artists like Bobby Womack and Wilson Pickett hold Lonnie in the highest regard. Once again, Lonnie gives his fans a superb collection of great songs, written by legendary tunesmiths (including himself). Lonnie is timeless; he is an American treasure.......
