Book Description

"What's a Bug?" helps teach your child the difference between a bug and an insect (with the word "bug" in it's name), as well as lets them see examples of bugs and insects to see if they can tell if it's really a bug. Also included are interesting facts for each of the bugs and insects.

A bug is an insect that belongs to the order Hemiptera.

A True Bug has piercing, sucking mouth parts. They pierce food and pump
in saliva because they cannot chew.

True Bugs also have wings. The forewings of bugs are only hard for part of their length instead of the entire length.

Remember:
All bugs are insects, but not all insects are bugs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Creepy Crawler Book! April 30, 2012
By Mary
Format:Kindle Edition
My son loves bugs so we downloaded this book and he really enjoyed it. The book is full of vibrant colors and pictures of various insects and you have to guess whether or not the insect is truly a "bug". After revealing the answer there are interesting facts about that insect. We thoroughly enjoyed the book and the illustrations of the insects were cool.

I actually learned a couple of things from this book however it seemed a little over my 5 year olds head. Maybe it's just his attention span but he did like the pictures.
