What's In the Egg, Little Pip?, February 23, 2011
This review is from: What's in the Egg, Little Pip? (Hardcover)
[...]
Read aloud: age 3 and older.
Read yourself: age 7 - 8.
Little Pip used to sleep under her mama's soft, warm belly. Now, there was no room for her ever since the Egg had arrived. Mama and Papa were very excited about the Egg, and told Pip that they must be very careful to protect the Egg from cold; soon a sister or brother would arrive and make their family "just right."
But Pip wasn't so sure about the Egg, and felt their family was just right the way it was - just Mama, Papa and Pip. But when a storm approaches, Pip hurries home to help keep the Egg warm. When the Egg finally cracks, Pip is in for a grand surprise.
Perfectly rendered in every way, this charming story gently addresses a child's concerns about making room for a new sibling.
