Great sound on this album with the title cut the best which went to number one in the early 80's. The rest of the album is great as there is no filler here. Buy this album if you can find it.

I love it! I love it! I love it! I have never been a fan of country music. One day while driving on the Interstate I was scanning on my radio trying to find some good music. It was hard to drive and scan, so I finally punched in the first station with music. Darn! It was country music. But as I listened I heard the title song of this CD. I felt like I had found a new friend. When I got home I immediately tried to find the CD. It's pretty old and out of print (I think), but I was able to get one through Amazon. I have played it over and over.
It's so good I can't even single out a song I like best. Well, if I did, it would be "What She Wants" about a little girl wanting her parents to get back together. Since then I have discovered that Michael Martin Murphy has many CDs and I'm hoping to add to my collection. His voice is great, warm, but strong. I definitely will put him on my Christmas gift list1 (Family beware.)

This disc is a good introduction to Murphey's work on Liberty records in the early 1980s. Prior to this period, during his years on Epic and A&M, Murphey was a leading figure in the Austin outlaw movement of country music. Mixing country, rock, folk, bluegrass was par for the course with the Austin music scene, lead by Willie Nelson and Murphey. However, when he went to Liberty, the music become more mainstream country and was less interesting overall, although there was good music made. The title cut was a big hit during this period, and is a good song. There is other good material here, it's just lacking an edge or spark that Murphey had in the 1970s. Murphey went on to Warner Brothers in the late 1980s, and has become a leading proponent in Western music, which has reinvigorated his career.
