From All American Girl to the very end, this CD is the best. I love Disposable Boy (I'm just an old worn out toy) , Walking Alone and The Jones. Punkabilly at its (almost) finest. Too bad that there aren't any sound samples for you to hear Angry sing with Jim Joe in the background providing some great harmonies.
Definetly buy it. You won't be sorry.

One of the best, most original albums I've bought in a long time. Lyrically reminds me a lot of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - most of the songs tell a story of some sort, and do so with the brutal eloquence that's required to accurately depict the mind of a serial killer (Kill Again) or a grocery store robbery gone wrong (High Noon in Killsville). Musically they're really in a genre all their own, combining the best elements of hillbilly country and kickass rock 'n roll. They have a pretty unique sound I haven't heard elsewhere, which is rare enough in today's copycat music industry. Now, while a lot of the songs are fairly disturbing and revolve around murder and death, that's really only half the album. There are a number of good ol' rock and roll songs, and a few that pay tribute to their hillbilly country roots, about lost loves and so on. "Daisies" is a great little metaphorical stomp about the pitfalls of dealing with women. Overall, a fantastic and well-balanced album. The little demon on your windowsill wants you to go buy it.

Oddly enough, I actually trained Angry Johnny as my replacement on a trucking job over twenty years ago. At that time he was the leader of Angry Johnny and the Snots, a punk band which had the distinction of having been banned from every club in Western Mass. . . fast forward to early nineties, and there in entertainment weekly is a review for this album. I was stoked that he'd actually "made it", went out immediately and bought it, and it remains to this day one of my favorites. I've lent it to total metalheads who have said it's the best album they've ever heard. BUY IT!!!

What genre is this? Rockabilly fight-the-devil-for-your-soul music?

I don't know what it is. I am not normally a fan of whatever it is, but MAN do I love these guys. Angry Johnny and the Killbillies do what they do in a way I've never heard anyone else do.

I've been listening to this album for a decade and it's f'n great. I rock it out in the car all the time and spent the time to actually figure out how to play a couple song with bad chordmania versions because I love them so much.

Whoo, Angry Johnny! I have total hetero love.

Angry Johnny & the Killbillies best effort and one of the hardest "alt-country" records ever recorded, with Eric "Roscoe" Ambel (Del Lords, Bottlerockets, Nils Lofgren, Backsliders, Martin's Folly, Joan Jett), Jim Armenti (Lonesome Brothers, Ray Mason Band) and others helping shape the sounds with Angry (his real name) and the best (and classic) lineup that Angry ever assembeled for his Killbillies.
