Jill Ammon Vanderwood is a mother and grandmother who wants to make a difference for the youth of today. She spends much of her time visiting schools, reading to kids and teaching writing assignments.

Kids Teaching Kids, by the Way They Live has won the 2009 National Indie Excellence Award in the Green category and the Teen Development Award in the Pre-teen, Nonfiction category.
Jill's newest book, Drugs Make You Un-Smarter is co-authored with her fifteen-year-old granddaughter, Savanna Peterson.
