This book is one of my daughter's (age 5) favorites. It never fails to make her laugh. This cute story about a devoted owner of a camel who works giving children rides is whimsically illustrated with watercolors. Habibi runs off with his owner's shoes and trades them for a fez, while his owner runs after him through the bazaar. This is the book for any child who has been fascinated with those wonderfully stubborn creatures at the zoo. Highly recommended!

My daughter loves this book. All Habibi wants is a cool looking red fez to wear. How he goes about getting one is funny and cute. Great bedtime story for your child.

This book is very well illustrated and the expressions on Habibi's face are priceless. Both my children can identify with habibi deciding she needs a hat as they're also very into the dress-up mode these days. Lovely book, would definitely recommend to all ages.

Whenever I ask my daughter which book she wants to read at bedtime, she usually says, "What's The Matter Darling book." The warmth of the relationship between Ahmed and Habibi touches her, and she always "pats" the camel's head and asks along with Ahmed, "do you have a tummyache? Do you have a toothache?" It's one of our favorites to read at night.
