Book Description

July 2004
A mom takes pleasure in fostering her children's growth and well being. Yet she feels selfish admitting that she needs time to pursue her own dreams, so she waits until there is more time. Months and years speed by and she suddenly realizes that there will never be more time.

Sound familiar? You feel that internal pull toward your own dreams. But you don't want to miss a moment of time with your children. And with all the responsibilities you have on you plate, What's a Mom to Do?

The first step is to realize that your dreams are not selfish. Would you want your child to abandon his dreams? Of course not! This book will prove that, while not easy, you can find the time and energy to pursue your dreams while being a loving, caring mother - and set a powerful example for your children at the same time.

You'll learn how to:

* Discover and nurture your own personal gifts
* Identify and break through the roadblocks that hold you back
* Strike a balance between parenting and pursuing your goals and dreams
* Use a simple 3-step process to set and go for your dreams

This review is from: What's a Mom to Do? Overcoming the Urge to Put Your Life on Hold (Paperback)
This book reminded me that I can be a mom and my own person -- in fact, taking care of myself makes me a better mom to my kids. I love the "getting started" suggestions at the end of each chapter.
