Listened to the CD in college. This 2 record vinyl copy is way better. The first freaky sound has much more character than the CD. And the sonic bliss continues all the way to Champagne Supernova. Turning it over sucks, but that is the price to pay for better sound.

Great album with horrible sound, November 28, 2009

I bought this album with high expectations and disappointed is an understatement. After listening to several albums that sounded crystal clear on my system I threw this on. At first I was excited to hear some tracks that really brought me back. Soon I started to realize that something was not right. When a song really kicks in everything blurs together into a garbled mess. It was so bad that I thought something was wrong with my table. Checked all of the alignments of my table twice over and everything was spot on. Tried a different album and I was back into great sounding music. Did a little research and found the horrible sound is not limited to the vinyl release. Don't waste your money on this, the cd version will sound just as good for a quarter the price.
