I remember seeing this guy years ago when he would come out in a cowbay hat and say " howdee bet you didn't expect that ".I thought he was funny then and still do. This guy focuses in on real life and does it by being clean using obsevations of how we really act. Most comics today just expouse filth and catch phrases to shock us.I can watch this video with my family or church friends and not be ashamed, much in the same way as Bill Cosby's "Himself" from years ago. This is entertaining and very funny. If Carlos Mencia would just clean up his routines about observation he could be this entertaining and have a more broad appeal.

if you've never seen Henry Cho before, you'll probably be impressed because he's unique, but if, like me, you saw him years ago on a Caroline's Comedy Hour show or A&E, you'll probably see this was not his best set. He seems to be trying to shed his edge, bland his unique roots and become more mainstream, which is a giant mistake. He's boring when he riffs on much of anything other than the cultural displacement caused by the two wildly divergent strains in his racial background. When he uses that as fodder for his jokes, he's better than Margaret Cho (no relation, I would think, but who knows?) by a mile. But when he talked about his wife, tried to give us insights on gender differences, he made me yawn.

I think that the easiest way for me to describe this album is to say that when people ask me about it, I can't repeat any joke but one - the one he says is his favorite, which I didn't find funny. It's not that Cho isn't funny; his jokes make you laugh, but it's not the big laughs you get from other comedians. Whimsical, amusing, but not hilarious. I don't regret buying it, but I wouldn't go recommending it to people when I could be pushing something funnier.

I quote Henry Cho quite a bit with my friends and have driven a lot of folks to check him out. He has a serious southern twang to his voice and he uses it well. He may fit the 'blue collar' label but he is more than that.
Really, I should just let the man speak for himself, preview his work for the best sales pitch.

Henry Cho delivers. He mixes jokes in with personal stories, like being Korean and raised in Tennessee. One of his friends is responsible for the title. He has couple of bits on the differences between men and women that you will end up repeating to your friends. At one point, a very funny point, he imitates his father, accent and all. He immediately explains that he is not mocking his father; that his father is very intelligent; that he can speak five languages; it's just that he can't speak any of them well. I really like the CD!

Henry Cho is one of the funniest guys around with quick, clean humor. I hope he produces more videos and CD's. I'll buy every one.
