5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and nonsense
I just finished reading "What's Under The Kilt" by Robin Mitchel. It took me about an hour to read this very short, totally goofy romp about the Scots. (It's only 24 pages,(loaded with pictures), but the reason it took an hour is because I had to reread parts of it because I was laughing so hard.) This guy is completely loony (bordering on silly) as he explains what a...

1.0 out of 5 stars A dud of a phamplet
Readers;
If you are about 13 and sexually dissafected, you just might like this piece of written trash. It is wholly irrelavant, disrespectful, boorish, outlandish, crass, &tc.
It is of no use but to start a wood stove fire on a winter morning.
You, reader, might ask, what does a Yank know of this? Just a bit, it may be said. I own and wear a...

I just finished reading "What's Under The Kilt" by Robin Mitchel. It took me about an hour to read this very short, totally goofy romp about the Scots. (It's only 24 pages,(loaded with pictures), but the reason it took an hour is because I had to reread parts of it because I was laughing so hard.) This guy is completely loony (bordering on silly) as he explains what a haggis is (a small three legged animal which is an endangered species) Football and Pubs, the proper treatment of bagpipes, explanation of the language and many myths about the Scots. Most importantly, he addresses what the Scotsman wears under the kilt. I'm sure Robin Mitchel is NOT popular with some Scots, but he just became popular with me.

PS: There is a warning on the front of the book that says "Do not take this book too seriously!"
You won't be able to!

With that short background; I recommend Do Not Buy This Book: and if you meet the author, throw him in Loch Lommand, with a large boulder in his sporran!
