5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic rock song!
Amazing simply Amazing, This song is becoming a rock classic..and Linda Perry has one of the absolute finest rock voices ever to be recorded with incredible phrasing and SOUL and she writes hit after hit...Last but not least the band did rock!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars What goes up most come down!
The 4 Non-Blondes' pseudo-soul hit "What's up?" is one of the most annoying songs of all time. For some reason, I thought it was a "hit" from the '70s,the age of disco and funk, with its "wanting a revolution." My bad. It wasn't from the age of the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, or nascent feminism; it was from the '90s. The lead singer strains and twists her...

This is a "roll your windows down and sing the lyrics as loudly as you can" song. It's definitely worth the .89 I paid for it! One of my all time favorites; you can't go wrong!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hey!, February 16, 2012

WOW, i love this song! It kept rolling through my news feed from one of my favorite posters. I finally clicked it, and gave it a listen. If you've ever felt like WT*bleep* is going on after watching the news, reading the paper, or something in your personal life, you'll be able to relate to this song. As one reviewer said its a roll down your window on sunny day, and sing-along song! nice beat, with wonderful soulful guitar, and great vocals (think a raw alanis morrisette)Recommend highly!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, distinctive song, December 21, 2011

It's great to find a good song with a unique sound. This one has a high energy, and an almost yodelling effect, and is just fun to listen to - over and over which is a rarity. It has a nice sound, with ups and downs. It's satisfying, not 'one note'. It's not for everyone as the reviews show, but what is? It's a great song for those who like it.

I can't think of another rock vocalist who has this sound a sort of masterful bouncing around.

5 stars from me!

It wasn't from the age of the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, or nascent feminism; it was from the '90s. The lead singer strains and twists her voice like a teenager playing with bubblegum. It's hardly "R-E-S-P-E-C-T." It's the annoying illegitimate musical child of Motown. The Supremes deserve better. Amazingly, this same singer tutored Pink (thus, the musical fruit doesn't fall far from the tree) Ugh. What's Up? must come down. It's gravity.

I have always been fascinated by this song, and that it would actually be taken seriously by so many people, and get as much airplay as it does. I don't know who that chick is that's singing, but she is just all over the road, trying real hard to sound like Anne Wilson. The music/lyrics sound like it was written by a 14 year old. PURE CHEESE!

P.S. I bought this song to torture my wife.
