I am an Indian by origin. But, had no background or knowledge about Aurveda. This book, written by an American Author, who has also written many other wonderful books, introduced me to some basic concepts of Aurveday in American style! I enjoyed reading this book. Also, the website associate with this book was very useful and complements this book.

If you are reading this book, I would recommend that you first visit the website, whatisyourdosha.com and take the quiz to find out your dosha. I would recommend this book to anyone, who is curious to get some exposure to Aurveda and its concepts. It is a light reading. But, after reading this book, you may be inspired to do more serious reading on Aurveda, by some Indian masters. If you are very new to Aurveda, like me, this should be your first book.

The author of this book also has a new website doshamatch.com. Some of you may like to visit this site after learning all about your dosha from this book.

Who would have thought that the ancient Vedic health science system from India could give rise to a highly effective and hip Western guide to creating successful, harmonious, and exciting relationships!

WHAT'S YOUR DOSHA, BABY? does that and more. Take the quiz and learn your dosha. Take the quiz and learn about the dosha of your significant other. Bring greater harmony and joy to your relationship than you could have dreamed. The principles apply across the board - business relationships, the sister you never quite understood, the relationship patterns you'd like to do differently and with more satisfaction.

I'm giving this book to everyone on my holiday list.

Whether you're interested in relating to new people in your life, your mate, your coworkers or your children, Lisa Marie Coffey's primer on Ayurveda can help you understand and nourish relationships.
Her grounding in the material is obviously the solid result of long study, and her writing is warm and accessible. As a long-time student of Ayurveda, I find her description of me so accurate it's a bit unsettling.
In "What's Your Dosha, Baby" you'll find everything from techniques to calm an irritated boss to the best form of exercise for your individual body/mind type. I highly recommend this book, and will be giving it to friends on gift-giving occasions.

When I first picked up this book, I expected to learn something about Ayurveyda, my "dosha", and considerations regarding my health, diet and well-being. This book was very informative in this regard and presents the information in a way that westerners can understand. I was pleasantly surprised to read further that Ayurveda has something to say about relationships. By understanding the nature of each dosha, I can apply the understanding to all of my relationships. This book is an enjoyable read and I learned something new.

I've always been interested in Ayurveda, but never really understood it from the books I had read before. This book, "What's Your Dosha, Baby?" makes it very clear and simple! I now know my dosha, and I'm loving it! All of the diet, lifestyle, exercise and relationships tips make such good sense, and it's so easy to incorporate these ideas into my life. I like the way Lisa Marie Coffey pairs up the doshas, I just laughed when I recognized how I am with certain people. It's so true! I'm hooked, Baby - and ready for a sequel!

While reseaching information on Ayurveda & Dosha's, I came across Lisa Marie's whatisyourdosha.com, which turned out to be very interesting. With an easy quiz, you can find which Dosha fits your personality and get a basic understanding of what it is all means.

Her new book, "What's you Dosha, Baby?" is a wonderful guide to understanding how you fit within this Dosha and how it works within your lifestyle. Most highly valued is the information on compatability with anyone in your life. Other suggestions cover best forms of exercise for you mind/body type as well as foods best suited. It is a wonderful way to introduce oneself to this ancient pratice/belief way of living.

As a volunteer at the Chopra Center for many years, I found this book to be the most fun and easy way to get people to understand Ayurveda and body types. My husband and I have enjoyed reading this together and comparing notes about our Doshas. I tried some of the recipes and you'll love them. They're very healthy and easy, too. I'm giving all my friends and family this book on their anniversaries, to show them all the love that can be in their lives.
