About the Author
Henry Purnie, author of "What's Your Best Price?" was born in Utica, NY and spent much of his adult life in the pursuit of antique treasures---knocking on doors in cities throughout the country, buying old gold and jewelry---his unique and successful approach. The name Purnie---Henry and brother Vin---became well known as exclusive antique jewelry dealers, exhibiting at the best antique shows in the country. Still very active today, Henry has become a "general practitioner" of antiques and enjoys the challenges of the profession. Today, more than ever, antiques are fascinating to the public---in both their sale and purchase. His was (and is) a life well spent in a world of perplexities and pleasures---and the pursuit of hidden treasures.

Mr. Purnie will keep you laughing so hard throughout the book. You won't be able to put it down until you finish it in one sitting. Henry brings us back to a pre-internet time when we all wish we could have been antique dealers-the finds, the surprises, the "scores". Henry, you're the best. We all know a character in this business that could have been in this book. Touche!!!
