What's Yours Like? The Game That Tells It Like It Is.

I received this game as a gift for the holidays, probably with the hopes that it could match the ha's brought by games we've played before, such as Apples to Apples, Pictionary, and the like. The premise is fairly simple: For every round of play there is one guesser, and he has to try to guess whatever is on the card (shown to all other players not guessing) by asking them individually "What's yours like?", then the guesser tries to put the hints together and figure out what's on the card. The more people you have to ask, the more points you get, and it's scored like golf, so the lowest score wins.

Now, here's where it starts going downhill. Since everyone is inherently trying to win, but not take the game too seriously, a middle ground between making your clues too apparent or too vague is what people should be going for. However, the middle ground is often never reached, you will find yourself taking usually either two to three guesses, or ten plus guesses, and there is no time limit or a maximum amount of guesses before you move on, so you're stuck with that word and that person until they guess it.

The cards themselves are a bit out of whack as well. While they range from good ones you'd expect such as 'underwear' or 'favorite superhero', all too many cards are boring, uninteresting and downright not fun to try to guess. Some cards I even found myself wanting to give the juiciest hint I could or even just tell them what it was to save them and everyone at the table more time wasted watching someone struggle on a particularly weirdly worded card.

This game is not terrible if you play it with tweaked rules and cards (by the end, if we thought a card was too hard to guess, we'd just pull a new one and we instated a maximum guess limit to help with the sluggish pace), but there are DEFINITELY better games out there. Stick with the classics.

I was looking for something new and came across this great game. The name is a bit odd but the game itself is so much fun. The answers my family comes up with are a riot. Like describing your toilet! We all try to come up with creative and sometimes vague answers to throw the person guessing off. It's so much fun!

The pros and cons are:

Pros-
It gets you thinking creatively.
Helps you get to know the other players better.
Fun for any age

Cons-
The point system is somewhat confusing
The guessing system could be perfected
Doesn't come with a white board eraser

These things could be changed easily. They don't really affect the game play.

I'd recommend this game to anyone.

We played this game with about 15 of our friends. It is incredibly simple and easy to play. Even our younger children (6,9,and 10) can play. It was so fun to see what everyone's ideas were. If you are looking for a super funny, laugh out loud game, this is it!

Funny game I bought on a whim at Christmas. My 23-year daughter old bought two more, for herself and a girlfriend. It works with any age group. We played with the grandparents and it was hilarious. Great icebreaker and after-dinner game.

It probably depends on who you play with, but I really really hate this game. If you don't know what the game is all about, let me tell you. Three or more people play, and the object is to guess what's written on a card. When it's your turn, everyone but you knows the answer. Everyone else's job is to give you really obscure clues and giggle like idiots while you sit there and look confused. Let me give you an example. These are some clues I received one time:

-Mine is scary
-Mine is wet
-Mine needs sugar
-Mine is yours
-Mine never works
-I got mine from my mom

If you guessed hiccup remedy, then you must be the smartest person alive, and should probably buy this game.

We played this game with 10 people and laughed till we could not breath. It gets your mind working on how to describe something without the usual words that would give it away. It's loads of fun for all age groups!! It's easy to set up and get started, no long drawn out instructions to read . Most of all...it makes us all laugh and that's a good thing!

This game is very poorly thought out and not that much fun.

First, the rules are written rather poorly, and are hard to understand.

Second, the game's basic premise is flawed. The intention of the game is that you get successive clues that add up to a complete picture. For example, your clues might be "mine are red", "mine are green", and "mine are tasty", from which one might guess that "apples" are the answer. In reality, here's what happens: you'll get clues such as "mine is blonde", "mine has glasses", and "mine is nice", and from that you're supposed to somehow guess "dentist". This happens a good portion of the time, but not always, resulting in wildly imbalanced game play.

Thirdly, it just doesn't end up being *fun* like other party games. Everyone in my family has a closet full of games such as this, and we play frequently. Most games end up being a lot of fun. This one just never picks up. Most board games offer either faced-paced excitement (25 Words or Less, Buzzword); high competitiveness (Scattergories, Wise and Otherwise, Balderdash); or entertaining creativeness (Apples to Apples). This offers none of these. This game is slow, unbalanced, and dull. I can't recommend it.

I bought this and Say Anything because they both had 4+ stars at the time with good review comments, but I'm disappointed with both. I love playing games like Apples to Apples, Mad Gab, Pictionary, Gestures, etc, these 2 games just didn't hold a candle to either. Everyone was bored within a few minutes. You want to give clues but you don't want them to guess right away so it makes it either too hard or way to easy. There's no middle I thought. I wouldn't waste my money on them.

This game is a blast. We first played it with a friend and had to order our own. It can be as innocent or as naughty as you want it to be. Hilarious!! You can't play this game without laughing and having a great time. It can be a little hard til you get the hang of it. We do 3 Rounds each card, the first one we give really hard clues, the second round we give average clues, and the third round we give easy clues. It's fun no matter what, but the more "naughty" your clues, the more you'll laugh! I'd recommend it for young adults, and I DEFINITELY recommend it. You won't regret this purchase.

Can be fun. Do not play unless you can be suggestive. Game is okay, we thought it would be funny-er though.
