This is the great cereal of my childhood (which used to be produced in a town named "Wheatenaville", honest! It has tons of fiber and a nutty taste and really stick-to-the-ribs breakfast. Even my little 18 month old grandson loves it.

Glad I could find it at Amazon. However, one caveat: the price that its sold at plus shipping makes this a gourmet indulgence indeed. Buyer, beware. You've gotta love it to buy it. However, I bought a case of it anyway.

The product specs describe it enough and so have the other reviewers. It's a HOT breakfast cereal. Best to add just a pinch (not more) of salt when you cook it to bring out all the flavor. When done, add milk (I like it just right, not too thick and not too runny) then a dash of sugar (or some Splenda). Especially on a cold winter day, you have yourself one of the healthiest cereals around. For sure!

I had Wheatena as a kid, and always liked it, went searching for it recently and found it on Amazon. It is as I remembered and great to have back.

i cant find Wheatena at any of the local shops so i just buy it here! great product, quick service and fun to cook and eat any time

This is really good stuff but it is not sold where I live so I don't get it very often. I used to eat it all of the time but for some reason they stopped selling it here.its good for you too.

As a kid, Wheatena was one of my staples...the flavor is uncomprimising, it truly is delightfully delicious! What I am grateful for is that this is one of the rare cereals, that has stayed true to its original, unlike Maypo which has changed drastically from the original.

If you want a hearty, delicous hot cereal...get Wheatena, you'll be glad you did, so will your body!

Wheatena Hot Cereal 20 oz - 6 Unit PackI've been eating Wheatena since I was a small child--I'm 71--and it's as good now as it was back then. It has an interesting and, to me, unusual texture in which the grains are quite distinct (but so small that they aren't "chewy") and a distinct wheaty texture. It's hard to find in stores now, at least in Idaho, but it's well worth the effort to get it from Amazon. And it also does well as a cooked grain in bread!

From childhood on, I have considered Wheatena to be the best tasting hot cereal I have eaten. It has been difficult to find in local stores in recent years and I have now placed two orders with Amazon.com to fill my pantry. The service was quick and the price reasonable for this hard to obtain item.

We are pleased with the product, the ease of ordeering, and the secure payment method. We will be reordering this product again on schedule

None of the large grocery chains in CA carry Wheatena any more. The small chain at which I used to buy it no longer carries it. The on-line price is higher than other hot cereals but (one exception) none can compare for combination of flavor, fiber, texture and healthfulness. It knocks the spots off big sellers like Cream of Wheat. I have been eating and enjoying Wheatena for 70 years and counting. Only real competition is steel-cut oatmeal, Scottish style--and that's equally expensive.
