The Stair Wizard works by creating an exact template of each tread (or riser), including length, end angles and depth Simply scribe the tread bank along the template outline, or use the Stair Wizard itself as a cutting guide. It automatically allows for and desired tread overhang, and will accommodate stairs up to 14-inches deep and 53-inches wide. Extensions are available. Complete with case.

I wish I had gotten this tool years ago! It has been invaluable to me in my finish work - makes what can be a frustratingly imperfect task real easy - no gaps! And its beatifully made as well - a little piece of ingenious craftsmanship in its own right! If you do stairs often or occasionally, you need this tool.

Having installed stair treads without the stair wizard I know how helpful this tool can be,it is simple to use and very accurate,no longer do you need an extra tread in case you butch one.My only problem would be that our first one had to be retured because it cracked. Overall great tool!

Saved me lots of time on many jobs and paid for its self in one. If you make your money like I do by the job, You've got to get this tool!
