May not repel brake dust, but makes wheel cleaning easier,

I've been using Wheel Wax on various sets of wheels on my cars for about three years now on both painted and clearcoated polished aluminum. Before that, I used to use conventional car polish. This product is superior for several reasons. First it definitely lasts longer; I generally only apply it once a year though I suppose twice a year or more might be needed for a car driven more miles. Even toward the end of the year, I find that water still beads on the wheel pretty well, unlike it would on an untreated wheel. Supposedly this product is more heat resistant than a conventional car wax, thus lasting longer on the hot surface of a wheel.
I agree with other comments that this product does not actually repel brake dust in the sense that you'll still see a dusting of it accumulating on the wheel as you drive. However it makes it much easier to wash the brake residue off the wheel assuming you do this somewhat regularly. I wouldn't expect any product to eliminate the need for washing your wheels. As an added bonus Wheel Wax has a rich texture and applies smoothly, then is easy to remove with minimal buffing. Also it has a nice scent.

This stuff doesn't work as they say. MAYBE the wheels have a very slight more shine, but you'd need lab equipment to prove it to me. It does not repeal the brake dust, in fact, I think it makes it worse. I spent about 3 hours removing all 4 wheels, cleaning them, and applying the polish... only to find no benefit. I know this for sure since on one of the wheels I left one spot unwaxed so I could compare. After a week of driving, there is no difference between the waxed and unwaxed part of the wheel. When I went to wash the wheels I hit them with water and the unwaxed part of the wheel was no different from the waxed part. Save your time and money. (My wheels are factory painted which already look great. Maybe bare metal rims might be different, but for my wheels, this product is useless.)

The best wheel wax you can buy and a plug for their tire dressing,

I have detailed personal vehicles for 40 years and IMHO Wheel Wax is the best tire/wheel product on the market. The Wheel Wax shine can be duplicated by other wax companies, but the durability and ability to shed brake dust is beyond belief. Brake dust literally washes off with water spray. I apply Wheel Wax twice a year to all my vehicles. It easily lasts 6 months. Also, if you are into detailing your cars you should give Wheel Wax Extreme Black tire dressing a try. It is available on the internet at autogeek, among others. I have tested virtually every tire dressing available and Wheel Wax wins hands down. I have been using it for 10 years. It will stand up to multiple car washes without losing shine. As with any tire dressing, driving in the rain will wash off the dressing due to rubber "bloom" as the tire gets hot. This is a great company!
