This thing is total junk. The pieces do not fit together properly, and for every minute of play, I spend 20 minutes putting track back together. The tracks do not lock and come apart too easily, the slightest touch breaks the tracks apart. The upright supports are warped and so they do not line up, resulting in track parts that pop off all without anyone touching them.

As a result of poor design, construction, and the use of overly cheap materials, my children are unable to play with it long enough to even start to enjoy themselves. Every play session has quickly ended in "the tracks broken" whining.

My son is playing with Hot Wheels cars/tracks that survived my play and are 30+ years old. This new thing will be lucky to last 30 days before it gets recycled.

Don't disappoint your child. Choose a different toy.

Purchased this for my son for last holiday season and like the other review, it is pure junk. None of the parts would stay together, so every time my son pushed a car down a ramp or on the

"street" the pieces would come apart. We thought about gluing the whole thing together, but it would be a mess and wouldn't be able to be stored easily. Huge let down from Hot wheels. They sure don't build them well anymore.

Don't Waste your Money : Total Disappointment

If you are looking for high quality and fun toys, you are in the wrong place because the Hot Wheels Hot Rod Garage is a colossal piece of junk. None of the pieces fit together properly, the ramps are all too steep/the side walls are too low so the cars are constantly flying off the edges of the road, and not in a fun way. The spring shooter meant to propel cars up a ramp does not work because the track doesn't fit together, so its only function is to frustrate my four year old. Assembling the track according to the instructions results in gaps forming between the joints, causing the track to fall apart at the slightest touch. Seriously the worst product ever and I am surprised that the quality control people at Hot Wheels passed this piece of junk through to production.

Like the others have said, this is made with completely cheap materials and does not fit together properly. My kids haven't even had a chance to enjoy their gift from Santa, and I doubt it will make it more than a couple of weeks before heading to Goodwill. What a waste and HUGE disappointment. DO NOT BUY!

This toy is junk, pure and simple. As other reviewers have noted, it's maddening to try to put together. The pieces are thin, flimsy plastic and none of the "track" fits together well. Once you finally get two pieces of track together, they fall apart when you attach another piece of track. The cars don't stay on the track well, and naturally, they make the track fall apart, too. It's ridiculous that any manufacturer would sell this product, even for $1.

The Hot Wheels Hot Rod Garage was given to my son as a gift. After spending over an hour putting it together with the poorly descriptive and non-matching instructions we were disappointed to discover that it doesn't stay together and none of the "cool" parts work properly. The track constantly comes apart, the "launcher" will not even launch the car that came with the track, and the ramp in the back shoots the car right off the track. My husband and I both never recall any of our Hot Wheels track working so incorrectly....very disappointed in this product. Don't waste your time or money on this item. Hopefully Hot Wheels will bring back the quality products I enjoyed as a child.
