My son received this toy for his birthday. It indicates easy to put together running traffic would have been easier then putting this thing together. The instructions are confusing, in black in white, the pieces are all mix up together in different bags, the instructions have numbers but the pieces do not. You have to look at the box picture to figure out where everything goes.
The track does not stay together, one of cars the body came off easily, the pieces easy fall off. It took me more then 2 hours to put together trying to figure out what goes with what. And, less then 5 minutes for the tracks to come off first, the flags to fall off, the ramp wont stay on to the car wash, the gates that open and close fall off as well.
This is the second thing my son gets from hot wheels that falls apart rapidly.
Don't buy!

We were at Walgreens of all places and saw this for about $20, about 3 seconds before our two year old saw it and immediatly wanted it. The Hot Wheels City sets have been a big win with out son. These sets are spending more time on the train table than the trains. The launcher on the one building is taking a beating at my son's hands and is not likely to last much longer, but I am sure that has to do with this toy being for an older child. Either way, 20 bucks well spent. I am not so sure that this is a $40 toy, but at the price we got it for, we are more than satisfied with it and how its holding up.

Not good quality
Took forever to put together and then the track didn't stay together at where the ramps attached. My 3 year old nephew played with it for about 5 minutes. Read more

Race set
My grandson was very please as he point out to me "grandma you got the wrong one I already have this one". Note that he did not want me to send it back for another one.
