First, no directions on connecting them.

If you use a regular bracket plate because you didn't study the directions, it will not work.

It's quite a crash for the Hot Wheel car.

Well, my husband figured it out after I thought we had a faulty booster like many have posted. With, batteries in the booster, the booster won't turn on unless the grey button on the back within the yellow piece is pressed in. Therefore it will work once it is on the wall and installed. Can't comment yet on how it works but at least wanted to help out with other frustrated parents.

I was hesitant to buy this based on reviews on numerous websites....but I did anyway to try it out. I read that most people say the booster doesn't work. I'm not sure if they are just putting batteries in and turning the switch on OR if their booster actually doesn't work. The booster has a safety button on the back that needs to be pushed in for it to work (hence why there is a bracket you put on the wall that keeps this button pressed). I also made sure that the template was level before installing. I'm not sure how sensitive it would be if it was off-level but I figured this toy was tested at Mattel as level and gravity is part of the equation. Also, the "catcher" (the top part of the toy that catches the car from the booster) needs to have additional tape on the bracket as the brackets are 2-piece and the impact of the car hitting the "catcher" wants to separate these 2-piece brackets.

I have attached this set to my son's current Wall Tracks Starter Set (at the bottom right) and it works really well. Of course there are instances when it doesn't work but I would say it works 95% of the time which is on par with the other components of Wall Tracks. (A couple issues that have happened are: 1) depending on the car you use...sometimes the catcher will turn it sideways or it will get caught at the exit of the "catcher"...so experiment with different cars.(I recommend cars that are pretty flat on the top) 2) If there is a 2nd car right behind the 1st car going through the booster, I think the booster slows down enough to not get the velocity on the 2nd car and it will not make it into the "catcher".

Another nice thing about this set is that I connected it to the bottom of the Starter Set.

Mid-air madness made it five days in my house. My three year old loved it. Hot Wheels is his middle name. It worked well, he had a blast playing with it, jumping up and down and screaming...and then one day, mother of the year that I am and not paying attention, I guess he stuck his head too close to the launch pad and one of the cars popped him in the eye. My kid's pretty smart but this was not one of his brightest moments. We have the Hot Wheels Power Tower and are going to stick with that one for now. Mid-Air Madness will go in the closet for a few years. Three year old thru a fit b/c he loves it so much. I gave it three stars b/c it's a lot of fun but my boy got hurt. I should have seen it coming...mid-air collision sounds like fun so I'm gonna put my head in the middle...boys.

The track keeps falling off the wall without reinforcements and you have to try multiple cars before you find ones that will work. We spent more time trying to get it to work than playing with it.

It didn't quite work right at first. I had to adjust the booster position before the cars would complete the circuit. I recommend not installing the lower booster mount and supporting the booster by hand at first. After you see exactly how it has to be aimed you can install the last mount. Now my 10 year old is having a lot of fun with it.

It has held to the wall pretty well so far which is better than our other Wall Tracks set. We'll see how long it lasts but like many toys it doesn't work like in the commercials without a little tweaking. Initially I thought the motor didn't work until I read a review telling about the safety switch in the back. I almost gave up too soon. So far the tape is holding well and the one I had to pull off and reposition came off with a straight firm pull and left the paint on the wall just fine. I'm actually beginning to be impressed with this thing.

I didn't assemble this, my boyfriend did it and our two year old loves it. It works great after a few modifications. He added a small piece of double sided tape in the "B" and "C" brackets. Then after experimenting, he removed the flapper piece from the blue plastic unit that catches the cars. With fresh batteries in the booster, we can loop two cars until they meet in the "crash zone". Finally, I was worried about my son hurting his finger if he reached into the booster. It hasn't happened yet. The booster doesn't operate if there's a car in it when you turn it on. Seems like a great safety feature. I'm very pleased and my son is too.

Booster works great AFTER attached to wall, however, it provides so much power the upper track kept coming off the wall, eventually I had to wire tie the track support to the track support holder, works like a champ now.

My son LOVES cars so my mom bought him the Mid-air Madness (MM) tracks set for his birthday. We had already gotten him the Starter I set for Christmas and had not put it on the wall yet. I too did not notice that you must have batteries AND the safety button pushed in to get it to work so I did return the first one until I had the same problem with the second one and realized that it wasn't my batteries or the product. They should mention the safety button in the instructions where they tell you to put the batteries in. So then I put them both up and became rather frustrated again once we started running the cars through.

First, make sure you put the wall mounts on with the larger ledged part on the bottom. When I put them up I didn't notice the slightly larger ledge and half of them were upside down which makes the brackets pop out of the mounts when you start running cars through.

Second, the car that came with MM did not even go through one cycle before flipping over or stopping altogether in the top turn. We are no longer using that car.

Third, once we got cars to start going through the loop consistently the top bracket B began to start popping off because of the force of the impact of the cars being shot through and colliding with the plate inside the catch and that made bracket C pop off since they are attached by track. I tried to put double-sided tape between the wall mounts and the brackets like another reviewer suggested but they still popped off. So I put some blue painters tape over the top of bracket B attaching it to the mount and the poster to keep it in. Since the catch and the tape are blue and the bracket cannot be seen behind the catch it isn't noticeable unless you are looking for it.
