My 5 year old friend and myself (71 years) had a terrible time with this Hot Wheels toy. We have put together several of their other things like racing tracks, but this one was just too hard. First the direction are only in picture form and a little hard to comprehend. Then after an hour+ of struggling we got it done. BUT, when we pushed back the cars on the rubber-band levers (on their platforms) the compartment holding them would open, the car would go about 2 inches and the rubber band across the room. Later his Dad tried it with the same bad results. There is also no way of getting all the pieces back in the box because the small flames will not come off the revolving platform. It will be returned in a plastic garbage bag. I gave it the one star because the truck that comes with it is 'cool' looking.

HI. I normally don't write reviews, but this one.... This toy is really a waste of money. It is plastic junk, the child has to manually let go of both trucks, which ONLY ONE is included, then any other trucks sit on the edge of the hill and spin around. If the truck hits the fire... something spectacular should happen but the railings let down and dump out the stationary trucks. Wow. My 5 year old has more fun with a rubber band!! Really. He has lost interest the day after Xmas. I should have known better....

My son got this toy for Christmas in 2010. He plays with it constantly. It is very durable and he still plays with it now-even a year later. It is a great toy for any Monster Jam fan. I highly recommend this for kids.

My nephew likes it.He for some reason can get it to work the right way.I had no problem getting it put together but,i couldn't get the sides to drop the right way.I guess he's alot smarter then i am.

My 5-year old grandson got one of these for his birthday. His grandpa put together the launchers while my grandson and I put the cage together, so I don't know how difficult putting the launchers together was, but the cage was easy enough for my grandson, once he got the idea. Then we got all 30 or so of his Hot Wheels monster trucks and cars, and went at it. He and I played with it for at least 3 hours, making up different rules and games before we got tired of the cage part. Then we just started using the launchers for races, chicken-fights, and finally, launching whatever we could get to fit on the launcher into the air, at Grandpa, whatever. We must've played with it for 5 hours or so. Great fun, but I did get blisters from pulling the launchers back so often. LOL
