Hot Wheels Over the Door Display Case

I am a mother of 3 boys. My oldest two, ages 2 and 4, have an extensive hot wheels collection. I bought this item to provide them with an attractive, easily accessible storage option for their hot wheels. However, I was very disappointed with the durability and functionality of this product. It will only hold hot wheels cars. It does not hold trucks, vans or any of the more creative hot wheels designs. Most importantly the cloth straps which support it are stitched into the plastic seams on the face of the storage unit. This allows the front to tear easily away from the straps. The item only lasted a month in my home before the stitching was torn from the plastic seams, rendering it useless. It is disappointing that the name of such a durable toy was placed on such a flimsy storage solution. I would only recommend this product for use with much older children.

This is really neat. It holds a ton of cars and fits over the door. Our boys have a million cars (not really, but they have filled up 2 of these w/leftovers). The slots are pretty good sized and there is a larger pocket towards the top. However, not all cars fit in the pockets. It doesn't hold larger type vehicles (example: ambulances, bulldozers, ect) but most of the cars fit nicely. Overall is a smart idea to get the cars off the floor (and out from underneath your feet!).

We're extremely disappointed that this item doesn't work with any door in our house (just standard doors, nothing weird about them!) We've tried adjusting it in every way possible, but the metal over-the-door parts still pop forward every time you open the door, making it so you can't shut the door the next time without readjusting it--which is very annoying. It's very durable and the slots are great, so I'm trying to find another way to hang it in our son's closet without using the over-the-door feature.

This is the best inexpensive investment you can make if your kids collect Hot Wheels. It hangs on either side of any door, holds tons of cars, and displays all of their cars. Also, I have searched everywhere, and could not find this product in stores any longer.

This product worked for me i think its a great idea i have an 8 yr old .Clearly NOT for younger aged children ( 2 or 4 yr olds ) recommended age is 6 to 10.probably because they can rip the vinyl storage compartments .my son is not neccesarily gentle but he not overly rough when taking cars in and out to play with which is alot.He likes cleaning up his cars now with his cool organiser and can see clearly what cars he wants to take out instead of digging thru a box and dumping all out .Bad part is no space for bigger cars but easily solved by putting in seperate bin for bigger cars.Vinyl shoild be reinforced somehow .i havent had problem with vinyl tearing but i have heard a few other people have.All in All good product with room for a little improvement.

I ordered this for my nephew who was turning 7 on his birthday. He said he wanted Hot Wheels and I know he already has a bunch. When I saw this, I thought it was neat. I received it just as stated. It covers the door from top to bottom and he thought it was the best thing he had ever seen. We put it in the hallway initially to look at it hanging up. He spent a good amount of time running to his room for a handfull of Hot Wheels and putting them in the little pockets, then rearranging them. It is a very good quality plastic for the pockets and it is stitched well, so they didn't tear while he was jamming them in there. I'm not sure about the scale or origin or one of his vehicles, but it was the only one out of about 40 that didn't readily fit into the pocket. I totally recommend this item.

My kids love this! It's hard to find a space organizer that kids are oblivious to, and they get great use of it, too. It's easy to hang over the door and stays in place because of the bottom piece. My kids are boys, 6 and 3. They actually enjoy putting cars in, then taking cars out. It's pretty to look at and excites them. The pockets are just deep and wide enough for standard Hot Wheels and similar sized cars. There are even a few extra big pockets for special ones, and there's one center pocket that can fit a few bigger cars. If I find another door I'd like to put it on, I might just buy another. We have plenty of cars and I'm sure we'll get more. For the price we payed for this, it's well worth the money.

This is a very nice storage for cars. The only thing is i wish it had some wider slots for a little bit bigger cars. I definately recommend this. The cars are off the floor now and the kids love to rearrange them in the slots..

I read the reviews from other buyers before I ordered, so I was a little skeptical, but I really thought this would be a great way for
my grandson to take care of his cars. He thinks it's really cool but
I'm having a frame built for it to keep the strain off the straps and
hopefully that will make it last longer.

I recently ordered two of these, and have owned a couple in the past. They are still made with the same material and straps. This case fits 120+ 1:64 scale cars (the small, cheap, hot wheel and matchbox cars.) Most cars will fit in the sleeves, the bigger trucks and cars will NOT fit. There is a bigger pouch about a quarter of the way down that will fit 4-5 bigger cars, but I don't recommend using it. After a day or two the big pouch will tear and you'll be left with a "cheaply looking made product". This display case fits nicely over standard doors and we use them on the main bedroom doors. The kids love showing off all of their cars to their friends in their case, and their favorite cars are easily found. This also protects the cars from being scratched up and dinged instead of being thrown into a bucket. I recommend this product, and my boys are always so proud to show off their favorite cars!
