Good starting piece for a 4 y/o. He got encouraged and in ten minutes was digging in an old hot wheel "dump" box fixing his own tracks designs.

We bought this for my 4 year old. He absolutely loves it! I would've given it 4 stars but the launcher does sometimes jam. I have no idea why. We weren't too rough with it or anything, but it just stopped working. The nice thing is, though, you can still use all of the track with Hot Wheels cars, so my son was still able to use the rest of the track. We had a battery powered launcher from another set that we attached to this one and it worked great.

Oddly enough, my son pulled out the motorcycle launcher the other day and it worked fine. It must have unjammed itself? As I said, I never did figure out the problem with it, but it cleared on its own after time.

If you're happy to use this set with other Hot Wheels tracks then this is definitely a great addition and worth buying. Considering a few people have had problems with the launcher, if that's the only reason you're buying it, then maybe it's best to wait for an improved one. Even though the launcher can sometimes be difficult (it's sometimes hard for my 4 year old to pull it back into launching position), my son still loves this toy. I find him and his dad playing with all weekend, trying to see how far the bikes or cars can go down the hall or mixing the track in with other sets. I think that's where my husband really likes it. He likes building larger and larger, longer and longer race tracks. Since this one is so easy to set up and break down, it's always a huge hit, even with a dodgy launcher sometimes.

This is a great toy for my 3 year old. However, the button you push to make the motorcycle go always gets stuck, it works you just have to send it manually.

Bought this for my grandson. We put it together and ran it 3 times before it jammed up. He thought it was real neat for about 5 min then it was no more. It would shoot the motorcycle about 6 inches. Maybe I just got a dud we will see.

Got for my son's bday and the launcher doesn't work. Got a second one and the same problem, the launcher doesn't work. I retract it and it pops about 1/2 an inch forward rather than the full length needed to make the motorcycle launch and go all the way around the loop. Waste of money.

My husband ordered this toy as a gift for our son for Easter. We have a similar set up for cars that works just fine. Our son is almost 3 so we put the set together for him but he can work the button on the car one fine. This one is completely different. The button is very hard to operate, even for an adult. The first time we tried it, I heard a snap but the launcher didn't sent the motor cycle anywhere. I had to open up the back and realized that the springs were broken. I had to rig the inside just so that it would work - since once a 2 year old opens a toy there is no putting it back in the box and sending it back. I have to open it every few days and rig it again. What a pain! I fully intend to throw this one out once my son has moved on to something else!

The reason I gave this toy only 2 stars is because it comes apart so easily and so readily. It seems that Hot Wheels isn't making quality products anymore, at least this particular toy. It had to be glued together so that the tracks would stay. It's too bad. I have fond memories of playing with Hot Wheels toys.

My son is having such fun with this toy. He is a great Thomas the Tank fan and I wanted to introduce him to something else. I bought this and the 4 lane race track and they were such great hits on Christmas day when they were finally opened. Obviously he opened the Thomas stuff first. LOL I think it is durable enough. I really think it is pretty well made. I didn't expect the motorcycles to stay upright upon coming off the track but they do 7 out of 10 times which is pretty good.

I had been buying the Hotwheels motorcycle die cast for sometime now. When I saw this toy, I thought what a great idea. My son can now play with his motorcycles and make them do a loop. But I was wrong :( the launching mechanism kept on getting stuck. Not even 1 hour of fun out of it. The motorcycle diecasts are great but this loop is not at all worth the trouble.

I got this for my almost 3 yr old son for Christmas. Its exactly what I expected. Nothing spectacular but it works and motorcycle man shoots out every single time. Only thing I would say is that the button to release the man is tight. Im sure once my boy is a little older he can push it on his own...for now that's my job but I don't mind :)
