I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He's a Trekker, so he just keeps it in the box on a shelf with his other collectables.

Nicely detailed..

The warp Engines and the weapons arc are plastic, and are attached to each other, which is then attached to a metal Primary hull.

Well, the *top* of the primary hull is metal (which looks very nice) and the bottom of it is plastic. ??

The paint doesn't match between the metal and the plastic parts, giving the plastic weapons arc in particular this yellowed look. It also doesn't appear to be attached very well to the primary hull. be careful.

It sits tightly in its stand, which has a metal ball on it so you can tilt the model whatever way you want. I personally think the stand does not compliment the model at all..

oh well.. The model looks nice and looks good on the shelf.

Wrong Ship. I've bought normal Reliant but they sent me the "damaged" one. It's also a nice ship but I dislike to receive a different item. Good for Hot Wheels and bad for Amazon this time.

Let's be clear: this "toy" is supposed to stay on its stand and look pretty. Unfortunately, the pieces seem to have come from completely different sources, and the assembly was very poor. The detail is about middling; the components overlap and stick out in strange directions rather than aligning cleanly. Returned, and would never consider this product or other items from the same product family ever again.

In addition, I received the "Battle Damaged" unit instead of this actual unit... as part of an order explicitly *including* the other.
