After reading reviews on this product and researching it online, I bought this for my 6 year old grandson. He loves Hot Wheels. This is one of his favorite pieces. We got several other sets that go with it also but this was the best piece by far. I have to admit that I've also enjoyed playing with it with him!

I bought this for my 5-year old son who loves dinosaurs. Right out of the box I noticed the shark would not always stay down. Sure enough, the 2nd day we tried to use it, the shark will not work right. Too bad, because my son loved watching the shark try to catch the car as it went down the track.Now I have to find a replacement the day AFTER Christmas.

This toy is currently ten bucks at my local Fred Meyer right now. The first one did not work properly so I had to return it for a second one that luckily is working - not sure how long it will last. But for ten dollars I think the price IS right, the price on amazon IS NOT right.

I bought this as a gift for my 4 year old because it depicted a shark creature attempting to swallow a racing car.

That is what the track is when assembled but it is really flimsy. When boys are playing an intense imaginary toy of skeletal sharks chomping down on racing cars on a track you should not have to worry about the track falling apart or breaking apart like delicate china. I had to instruct my son how to play as he kept looking at me when the cars would fall of the tracks or pull apart, or the shark would not bounce out of resting position.

After a few moments my son was bored by it and has not gone back. I can understand why it takes too much maintenance to correctly enjoy it.

This is a really cool piece to add to my son's trick tracks set! It's different because of the colors and the design. Plus, it moves, which is always good for a little one. My son is 6 and has been in love with these since he was 5, but even a 3 year old could work the pieces. They are fun to take apart and rearrange, and don't worry, they're not like the train tracks that are impossible to reassemble, even little ones can slide the track pieces back together.
