Book Description

Kaylee Renard has never taken the time for love. Independence and financial security have always been the top priorities. Besides, she believed there will be time for a relationship later, when she can fit it in. In light of a terminal cancer diagnosis, however, her views change, and when Kaylee passes out and falls into a pond, Bastian Connelly, alone and suicidal, goes in after her, hoping that in trying to save Kaylee's life, he will end his own. But life isn't done with Bastian, and neither is love. As Kaylee comes to love him, she wonders what she's missed and seeks to find whatever gifts fate might grant her.

I'm wondering where this author has been hiding?
She has an amazing gift of linking words together to make a great story.
This book is a great read. Wish I had thought of it first. It is going to be on the Best Sellers Market for sure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really makes you hope! July 23, 2009
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a fast read for me. Not because it was short, but because it really drew me in and made me want to stay! This is one of those "double edged sword" type of books. Finally finding love and knowing that it cannot last is just the saddest thing. The way that the author weaves all of the happiness and joy into the sadness and inevitable heartbreak is impressive. The character development was just enough to make me understand them as real people and more than enough to keep me interested in their story & their outcome.

In this book, I have found a new author to enjoy and I look forward to reading her other works.

has no one noticed the errors in this book? when dropping literary references, somebody, maybe the author should check facts. Sydney Pollock paintings? Sydney Pollack the actor director, or Jackson Pollock the painter?

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book! February 2, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book offers so much. It has a great story line and offers much to think about after you are done reading it. There are quite a few grammatical errors but for me it did not detract from the story enough to upset me or even give it less than five stars. I thought the author did a fantastic job describing each character. I could visualize everything as if I were watching a movie. I'm very glad I read this book and I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Haunting Love story you won't soon forget. January 16, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Aware of the content of this book, I put off reading it until I had alone time and plenty of kleenex. I'm thankful for kleenex!

This story of Bastian and Kaylee, two people who never took time to love or be loved. Fate sure stepped in and gave these two wonderful people their perfect mate-only to throw a very very sad complication. Kaylee is going to die.

Dealing with her fate and his life -their love for each other-as well as their families is so well written you will laugh, cry and fall in love with them like they are your best friends.

I would encourage everyone to read this! (keep the kleenex handy)

Simple typos in this book but loved the story. Death comes to all but life is for the living. Have no regrets and love as hard and completely as you can. And talk to each other .

5.0 out of 5 stars Sad Great Book
This is a great read. After reading about half the book I could barely see the words for crying. This is a great Love Story and shows how true love can change a persons life.

4.0 out of 5 stars When angels cry
Enjoyed the book very much. The characters were very real to the reader. The book was realistic, life doesn't always turn out the way we would like it to.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't make it to the end
Boring, boring, boring. The story has all the makings of a good romance, but it was just badly written and poorly put together. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars When Angels Cry
The storyline is great - very romantic and for the most part well written - however, a lot of grammar issues and misspelled words! Very sad - it takes away from the book!
