5.0 out of 5 stars Gave me my life back!
I bought this book and a machine 10 months ago and followed the recommendations almost completely as outlined and I'm now back to 95% healthy and some days even 100%. Rife combined with other recommendations in the book have given me back my life.

Another reason the book was so helpful to me was that it helped my wife and family FINALLY understand what I was...

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Be Ware!
I am really skeptical when it comes to some of the more weird suggestions in this book, such as "high" doses of salt with vitamin C, no vitamin D (it's an essential nutrient which is involved in so many metabolic processes), self diagnosis with certain herbs (herbs just like drugs kill off infection and can be toxic and also, how much you should take is never mentioned in...

5.0 out of 5 stars More than rife therapy - a great explanation of Lyme Disease itself, December 27, 2005
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
I have been reading "Lyme Disease and Rife Machines" by Bryan Rosner. What I really find fascinating about this book is the explanation of Lyme. I have been sick the better part of 38 years, so I have had a lot of time to comptemplate what is going on. I have done a ton of research, not specifically about Lyme alone, but the idea that I was sick due to chronic infection, likely due to some sort of stealth pathogens. I have been fortunate to work with some great doctors even before I knew I had Lyme. Once I learned I had Lyme, so much came into even clearer focus.

In this book it was so exceiting to see that many researchers of Lyme have come to the same conclusions that I had. Not because I am some science wizz, but because of my own personal experiences.

Example: I have had the idea for probably 4 years, that there really is nothing wrong with our immune system. It works just like it should, but it was having a tough time finding this pathogen. This book explained in very easy language what I have been suspecting for some time.

I've also wondered for some years, what all of the fluish feelings we have are all about. I've wondered if it feels so much like the herx, then maybe it is like the herx. The book again confirms this thought. When we feel the crappiest it is likely our immune system is doing what it should do and it is trying to bring this infection under control. It's killing the infection and we are basically herxing. Then we may feel better for a bit, and that is because the Lyme goes into a defensive position waiting for our immune system to back off. So amazing these little creatures!

So if you haven't read this book, you really ought too, EVEN if you aren't interested in Rifing. It is one of the clearest and extensive explanations of how Lyme works I've seen yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely essential reading for Lyme sufferers, May 11, 2005
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
A supurb book which goes beyond rife therapy to include analysis of dozens of other alternative Lyme Disease therapies. Well written and to the point with an extensive index and long, organized table of contents. Well worth the price, this book condenses hundreds of important Lyme Disease concepts into a precise and user-friendly format.

I have already bought copies of the book for friends and people in my Lyme Disease support group. More Lyme Disease sufferers need to know about rife machines, because antibiotics do not always cure this condition. Anyone researching Lyme Disease and looking to understand all their options should buy this book. In the time it takes to read it cover-to-cover you will become educated in many aspects of Lyme Disease pathology as well as various alternative therapies available.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I only wish I could have purchased it earlier.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Self Empowering Book, March 31, 2005
By
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
This is a unique book that demonstrates what lay people can do, but the billion dollar medical industry can't or won't do. This example, clearly affirms the "<u>self empowerment theme</u>" of "<a href="http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris">Share the Wealth</a>" site.

An erudite balance between electromedical, mainstream and alternate approaches in dealing with disease. A profound piece of work that is sure to educate all regardless, wether one is interested in Lyme disease or not. This includes many "<a href="http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/2003/06/12/debunking_the_so_called_fluoride_experts.htm">so called experts </a>and professionals" who could learn considerably form this information/situation as well!

It is a sad commentary, on the age old paradigm, on how the media, health industry, and governments* all in tow by the big pharma, have so successfully brainwashed most of us into thinking that we are incapable of thinking for ourselves. This paternal approach is probably the most effective control mechanism known and is exploited to the hilt by all vested interests. It has done more to squelch creativity and self empowerment than anything else.

The profitable love affair to control/hide symptoms rather then restoring the bodies ability to heal and eliminate disease are certainly not designed to improve health. Bryan's book is a refreshing departure. His innovative methods of dealing with Lyme or any disease for that matter are solidly based on the following statement:

"Actively participate in your healing journey - no one else will take responsibility for your treatment campaign except you....a patient must be empowered and take responsibility for their healthcare."

This book is a real validation of electromedical treatment - Lyme is the ultimate test as it is one of the most difficult infections to eradicate.

Do date, this work provides one of the most clear understanding on the use of rife type devices for this specific application, however, Lyme can masquerade as so many other diseases (from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder...MS...Arthritis...Depression...to Multiple Chemical Sensitivity - a long list is in appendix A) hence this information which separates the 'wheat from the shaft' will be useful to many.

More often than not, symptoms of disease, are actually symptoms of nutrients deficiencies; hence, an enlightening discussion is aptly included. Of particular note, among others, is the significantly important role of magnesium and it's association to disease.

In addition to the risk/reward analysis of the rife type devices (so one can come to their own conclusion), a discussion on some practical applications of other therapies (ie Hydrogen Peroxide) are covered. Included also is a thorough discussion on the important role and understanding of detoxification critical to any healing journey.

The following pretty much sums up the book:

"I also heard people say that the placebo effect is responsible for rife machine success against Lyme Disease. But where was the placebo effect when I failed to get benefit from so many other "proven" medical therapies? Why did the placebo effect show up and save the day all of a sudden, as soon as I tried rife machines? After I started using rife machines, the term "placebo effect'' blended into the rest of the useless medical jargon I had heard from countless "experts" These supposed experts were really good at talking but really bad at offering any kind of solution. Rife machines offered me a workable solution. This book will give you the tools to come to your own conclusion."

* "Government regulatory agencies say out of one side of their mouth that the public is incapable of making good judgements & interpretations of medical information (thus the necessity of FDA, HC etc and the danger of alternative treatments) and out of the other side of their mouth that it's OK for the big pharma to market drugs DIRECTLY TO THE PUBLIC with emotion-stirring, compelling and of <a href="http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/2003/08/21/whats_a_little_cholesterol_amongst_friends.htm">often deceptive ads</a>."

5.0 out of 5 stars This book greatly helped me choose a course of treatment, April 27, 2005
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
I've been studying Lyme disease for nearly 10 years and have been frustrated with the poor results and negative side effects that antibiotics can cause.

I had never heard of anyone recovering significantly from Lyme disease until I heard of Rife related therapy. I was fascinated with the concepts but was still somewhat skeptical.

This book came at just the right time and answered many questions. You will gain a clear understanding of everything you need to know to choose the right type of therapy for your needs.

Based upon the information in this book, I was able to make an educated decision about how to get started with Rife therapy.

I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in 1997 and have tried a number of different antibiotic protocols. As far as I can tell I didn't receive any benefit. (If you have acute Lyme disease, get antibiotics immediately from a LLMD)

Since I have started using this type of therapy I have experienced significant herxheimer effects. (symptoms from the initial stages of healing) This is a very good sign indicating that I have chosen well.

Order the book, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars rife machines can help lyme, June 24, 2005
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
some brief points:
i have read the author's postings on lyme lists and he is and has been a legitimate voice for rife-type machines in particular.
i tried alternative treatments in desperation and i have found the "emem 3d" rife machine to be a convenient treatment.
rife machines can work and the author is a leader in getting information about them out. both the author and the technology have been validated in my personal experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clearly written, thorough, sensical book, April 27, 2005

This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
This book, along with word-of-mouth from a few distant acquaintances, convinced me to stop taking the antibiotics that weren't working and buy a Rife Machine (actually i bought one of the new very powerful DC machines...). I have only been using it for a few weeks, but already am noticing both awful herxheimer reactions and a few positive changes in my symptoms. I'm not going to give the book 5 stars, because, of course, it will be several months at the least before I know for sure whether the machine is working for me. But I do know that I haven't been this hopeful about the possibility of recovery since first being diagnosed, and I know that Mr. Rosner's book is the best source of information in print on the use of Rife Machines to treat Lyme Disease. Maybe the most surprising thing about the book is that, in addition to antibiotics and Rife Machines, he discusses every alternative treatment for Lyme Disease that I've ever heard of, evaluating them according to efficacy as well as cost (often based on personal experience) and discussing whether they are likely to complement or interfere with Rife therapy. This book is as solid as you can get without being scientific, and since the medical establishment proper does not seem to care about Rife Machines yet--or, for the most part, chronic Lyme Disease--it is probably the most valuable informational resource out there for Lyme sufferers who have been unresponsive to antibiotics. Oh yeah, it is $46, but I can't imagine that if you're already interested in this book you won't find it worth a good deal more than that...

5.0 out of 5 stars required reading for "lymies", May 1, 2005
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
After 15 years of chronic Lyme disease (8 years misdiagnosed), being homebound and almost bedbound for a decade, I was looking at a bleak future. I had heard here and there persons saying that so-called Rife machines had helped them, and after failing 2 years of antibiotic treatment I recently decided to give one a try.

The problem was, I did not know where to locate accurate information on types of machines and how to use them for Lyme treatment. Then Bryan Rossner came out with his book, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Now I know which machines have proven helpful to Lyme patients, the differences between them, and how to use them.

Even though I thought I was well-researched on Lyme, Bryan's book also gave me a leap in understanding how the Lyme bacteria reponds to antibiotics (punctuated effectively with medical journal abstracts), in contrast to how it respond to energy treatment with the rife machines.

I was impressed with how well researched, organized, understandable, readable and referenced the book is. It also talks about several adjunctive therapies. I have already recommended it to several people, telling them that it will advance their understanding of the Lyme organism, and is an absolute prerequisite for anyone considering doing rife treatment for Lyme. Having just started with the rife treatments I now feel more hopeful about the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Primer, May 21, 2009
By
J. Tuan (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
Like the title says: Rife when antibiotics fail. Rife machines like most other therapies for chronic diseases that actually work and effectively end your monthly contribution to big pharma, aren't FDA approved, so rife machine companies and discussion groups largely run via word of mouth and stay low. This leaves a major predicament however for patients that are interested in this therapy. When you do find an online group, there are usually a few thousand members that have a leg up on you and make you feel like the kid that jumped a few grades because your mom did your homework. The machines are aplenty and their names sound like perverted gov't inside jokes...and most of the go-to posters sound like they have a PhD in mechanical engineering.

I know catacombs when I see 'em, so I finally decided to grab Bryan Rosner's from my magic beanstack of health books. He started a publishing company that gives voice to the patients of lyme disease, and he's also a fellow chronic lyme disease sufferer who rifed to recovery. Breakdown: He starts with the disease, waxes a bit about the setbacks of antibiotics, introduces the basics of electricity in terms understandable for the second-grader (me), compares the 4 primary machines on the market (including one ~$500), tells you how to use each machine and combos of different machines, and throws in an evaluation of a few very effective supportive modalities such as ozone and hydrogen peroxide.

If you've been as disappointed by traditional approaches to not only lyme disease but any chronic infectious illness, and want to learn about something that has a proven track record, this book should be of interest to you.

Caveat: just about all the evidence for efficacy is anecdotal, but that's all there will be the foreseeable future.

*I use the Bionic 880 which uses a different kind of electromagnetism (light) and homeopathy to target pathogens among other benefits. Rife uses actual electrical current at the mortal oscillatory rate (MOR) of pathogens to kill. I do see potential synergism between the two therapies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Landmark Book!, April 27, 2005
This review is from: When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines, with Critical Evaluation of Leading Alternative Therapies (Paperback)
Bryan Rosner has pulled together the experiences of himself and many people who are using rife machines to fight Lyme disease. If you have chronic Lyme and long term antibiotics are just controlling the symptoms, or worse, then you need to read this book. It offers a real alternative, when antibiotics have failed.

If you already are familiar with rife techniques, then this book is a great reference. I have a couple of years experience with many different types of rife machines and I have found this book very helpful as a reference and a guide. For a "lymed" rifer, this is a must have book!
