Very quickly that blog, milasdaydreams.blogspot.com, boomed into a destination for millions of admirers around the world and also became a book called When My Baby Dreams. A former copywriter and concept designer in advertising, Adele now spends her days photographing Mila and imagining new dreamscapes for her growing daughter.

I just saw the story of Adele and Mila on the Today Show, and couldn't wait to see more of her photographs. I am a professional photographer who photographs newborns and appreciates the work of amazing newborn photographers like Julie Klaasmeyer, Carrie Sandoval, Brittany Woodall, and even Anne Geddes. I thought I had seen it all. Then along comes Adele with her new mother burst of unique creativity to blow me away, and remind me of the unlimited creativity of humans. And thanks to the Web and Facebook, she now has a new career and a book. It will be so interesting to watch her evolve. Well done.

This is a beautiful book that adults and young children can enjoy together. Every page or two starts with, "When my baby dreams..." and is followed by a page with a picture of the author's sleeping baby, and this picture is set into a creatively staged photo of a forest floor, a cityscape, a perfectly pink world, etc. etc. For example: One page says, "When my baby dreams of traveling the world..." Next page is a picture of sleeping baby atop an Indian Elephant and the words below, "she starts her journey on the back of an Indian elephant..." Next page is the sleeping baby riding a leopard, and the words on the next page read, "tames a leopard on an African safari..."

I remember when my own children were very young; it was these predictable and repetitive books that they seemed to like best, at about the age of two. They love the fact that they can quickly and easily anticipate what is coming next, it helps them to memorize the pages in the book and it's magical when they start reciting the words right along with you!

I can't wait to present this book to my newly pregnant niece.

This incredible book is a creative masterpiece! As I perused the pages of this book all I could think was, "Wow, I want to try that!". A fun book for children, and an adventure in art for adults. This is a must-have for libraries every where. It would be fun to see older children use their imaginations to come up with scenes of their own!! Highly recommend!!
