I just saw the story of Adele and Mila on the Today Show, and couldn't wait to see more of her photographs. I am a professional photographer who photographs newborns and appreciates the work of amazing newborn photographers like Julie Klaasmeyer, Carrie Sandoval, Brittany Woodall, and even Anne Geddes. I thought I had seen it all. Then along comes Adele with her new mother burst of unique creativity to blow me away, and remind me of the unlimited creativity of humans. And thanks to the Web and Facebook, she now has a new career and a book. It will be so interesting to watch her evolve. Well done.

This is a beautiful book that adults and young children can enjoy together. Every page or two starts with, "When my baby dreams..." and is followed by a page with a picture of the author's sleeping baby, and this picture is set into a creatively staged photo of a forest floor, a cityscape, a perfectly pink world, etc. etc. For example: One page says, "When my baby dreams of traveling the world..." Next page is a picture of sleeping baby atop an Indian Elephant and the words below, "she starts her journey on the back of an Indian elephant..." Next page is the sleeping baby riding a leopard, and the words on the next page read, "tames a leopard on an African safari..."

I remember when my own children were very young; it was these predictable and repetitive books that they seemed to like best, at about the age of two. They love the fact that they can quickly and easily anticipate what is coming next, it helps them to memorize the pages in the book and it's magical when they start reciting the words right along with you!

I can't wait to present this book to my newly pregnant niece.

This incredible book is a creative masterpiece! As I perused the pages of this book all I could think was, "Wow, I want to try that!". A fun book for children, and an adventure in art for adults. This is a must-have for libraries every where. It would be fun to see older children use their imaginations to come up with scenes of their own!! Highly recommend!!

WHEN MY BABY DREAMS is written and illustrated (photographed) by Adele Enersen. The book states it is for children but that is quite misleading as it is about children but not really for them. I imagine some children would enjoy seeing a few of the photographs but it is really for parents, or for parents to discuss with their child. I can't imagine a young child wanting to spend lots of time on it however. That said, I think Enersen took what was somewhat of a hobby photographing her baby in different ways and turned it into a book. Using the baby sleeping in a cute position, items of clothing and décor are arranged around the infant to make the child look like something else. Thus the theme of "When my baby dreams..."is then played out in the photograph. This is a lovely little book with some cute pictures that might remind us of the amazing work of Anne Geddes. I think it would be a sweet little baby shower gift that new moms would take to and keep on their coffee tables to ooh and ahh over especially while waiting for their new arrival.

This is definitely not an average children's book. The photographs of the author's daughter are so creative and original. My 21 month old toddler laughs and points at the photographs, but I think that enjoy the book even more than she does.

The pages of the book are a nice heavy weight paper with a subtle sheen that complements the photographs. I would love to also see this published as a board book, so I could trust my toddler with it. This one is simply too pretty for her to rip up.

I saw your pictures on the Today Show and I applaud your creativity. I am buying several books to use in my day care centers to encourage our children in their creative thoughts and imagination. I am sure we will have fun with your book. God Bless! I am sure your book will be a huge success!

This book is amazing. I would say it targets new mothers rather than kids, but all will enjoy reading it and getting into the imaginary world of a dream traveler. I would purchase this book to all my friends, first time mothers, to introduce them to endless possibilities of imagination. Raising a child is not an easy task and this book takes you to the positive side of motherhood. It is all worth it.

The photos in this book are amazing - brilliant, creative, and endearing. Each photo includes a picture of the author's sleeping daughter with the backdrop of a scene created out of everyday household items. The premise of the story and the theme of each photo is what the sleeping baby is dreaming about - a different dream for each photo. As has been noted in other reviews, this book likely appeals to adults more than children, especially young children. My 2-year old son loves books with pictures of babies, however, he wasn't very interested in this book. He lost interest after the first few pages. I suspect it's because the baby is sleeping in each picture and it is baby faces that he's most intrigued by. I tried on several occasions, but received the same reaction from him each time. Adults, who can appreciate the creative brillance of the pictures, are likely the best audience for the book.
