This book is called when I get bigger and it's about a kid that cant wait to grow up and he's talking about all the things he can do. Then in the end he realizes that you can still do thing when you were little than when you are grown up. It teaches you that being grown up isn't always fun. I would recommend it to a 1st or 2nd grader. This is about a 6 or 7-year-old child.

I really enjoyed reading this book to my daughter. We've had this book since she was almost 3. It talks about all the fun things Little Critter can do when he gets bigger, like crossing the street alone, telling time, camping out, etc. My daughter enjoys knowing that she will get to do all these things when she's truly a "big girl." The ending is a twist because he says he's going to bed now because he's not bigger yet.

I found this to be an example of reinforcement for our 5 grandsons. As parents work toward age appropriate tasks for their children this book makes it fun.

When I get bigger is another one of my favorite books by Mercer Mayer. In this book It gave me flashbacks on how when I was little I couldnt do the things I can do now. In the book Critter dreams of things he can do when he gets bigger. In the end it says "im going to bed, im not bigger yet". In his own mind he thinks he is bigger but hes not. Most kids dream that they are bigger but there not.

This is just one more classic wonderful critter book. The story is so sweet and the pictures are wonderfully entertaining. If you are a fan of the critter series, you will not be disappointed.

Gave this to my daughter! She has probably read it before she will read it to her son! She had these books when she was growing up!

What kid doesnt dream about and talk about all the things they are going to do "when they get bigger".
My 3 year old nephew LOVED this story and it kept his attention and sparked great converstation.

I bought this book for a charity and it arrived in time to give it to the reader's group who needed new books for their summer reading. I'm sure the children loved it and I was able to give more books thanks to the low price of this book.

A blast from the past! I loved these when I was a child now my daughter reads them. Her favorite part is finding the spider/mouse/grasshopper on each page.

We love all the little critter books. They are always so colorful and fun to read. We also add a little more fun by trying to find the frog, spider and mouse on each page. In some of the books there is just the spider, in some it is just the mouse, and in others it is both. Sometimes there is a frog and a grasshopper too. They are hidden a lot of the time and it is fun to try to search them out.
