I bought this book at a used book store. I did not know a single thing about it or the author, but the title intrigued me. I was into it from the first page. This is a book about couples in the 1940's and 50's. The book was written in 1957. The story telling is excellent - leaves out no details - yet is never boring. I think anyone from this era will identify somewhat with the characters of this book.
