Victoria Wells introduced readers to Starr in her debut novel, A Special Summer. In its sequel, When Love Comes Around, Starr discovers that there is a possibility that she can never have children. Feeling lonely and depressed, while in Vegas for a wedding, Starr lets her guard down and has one too many drinks. She awakens the next day to find a man in her room. It was not just any man; it was Kevin Dawson, a 6'4" Boris Kodjoe look-a-like and self-proclaimed ladies man. What had she done? Starr faces making a decision that will change her life forever and it will also give her what she wants most of all.

Once again, Victoria Wells gives readers a very realistic and fun story to read. Starr and Kevin are faced with issues of friendship, trust, forgiveness and love. There were several characters that reappeared, which added drama and intrigue to the story. Wells has definitely given readers a story that is appealing and a page-turner. I cannot wait to see what she has next for readers.

After reading Ms. Wells' first novel, I couldn't wait for this second book and she did not disappoint. Her writing is excellent and consistent with her first novel. I really like her style of writing. She makes you feel like you're sitting in your kitchen, with a cup of tea, listening to your best girlfriend tell you a story. I loved this book. I found Starr and Kevin's story to be absolutely heart-warming. Ms. Wells has done a thorough job of helping you to understand the characters and how they've come to be the people they are. I like the way they ended up with each other and it turned out to be a match made in heaven. The supporting characters were so enjoyable and I see more books on the horizon. Ms. Wells has thrown in just enough villainous behavior to make me sweat, but alls well that ends well. I highly recommend this book.

I read both "summer" and "When loves comes around" and to be honest both books had good storylines BUT... they also had WAY to much detail. There were a lot of fillers that were not required for the story to be good. I found myself skipping a lot of paragraphs. There were a lot of flashback memories the characters would fall into which were not relevant to the plot. One of the more interesting sidelines the author introduced was about Ava which was slightly mentioned just enough to peek interest. That was a total let down because the author never gives us a sneak preview of what in store for Ava. I really want to support this author because I feel she has potential. In the future I would like to see more romance and less irrelevant details that fill extra paper.

I ENJOYED Mrs. Wells sequel to "A Special Summer". Even though I didn't find "When Love Comes Around" nearly as thrilling as her first novel, I was still CAUGHT UP in the attraction between Starr and Kevin and couldn't wait to see where it would lead. Once again I LOL, cried and cheered at the LIVELY antics of this MEMORABLE cast of characters. I love the relationship the three women (Starr, Summer & Ava) shared with one another; the mutual love and respect that was displayed within their friendship and the way that special bond extended to their ever-growing circle of family and friends. I also enjoyed the instant and RARE connection that Starr and Momma Dawson shared. And I was glad that Starr was able to rebuild a relationship with her own mother. I am DEFINITELY intrigued and looking forward to discovering what's happening with Miss Ava. I also hope Karen finds a NEW love. Another HAPPILY-EVER-AFTER by Mrs. Victoria Wells!

I started reading Victoria's book on the President's day and couldn't put it down until I was finished! If you really are interested in reading some great wholesome writing, purchase this book! Victoria is a very talented writer who keeps her readers turning the pages. I really enjoyed Kevin and Starr's story and hope to be reading a book about my girl Ava in the near future!

Keep writing and I will keep buying!

I absolutely loved When Love Comes Around. Although Kevin was a womanizer, once he realized how he felt about Starr, keeping her protected became his top priority. Initially I felt bad for Starr. Because of her past experiences she was afraid of being hurt again. However, Kevin proved to Starr that he was THE man capable of loving her.

Also, this book made me laugh, made me sigh with tender moments, it also made me angry with that heifer Trina, Starr's trifling daddy and that low down dirty dog, Marcus! And I was glad to get a glimpse of what was going on with the old gang from A Special Summer (Summer, Nick, Ava, & Joan.) Ms. Wells did a great job bringing in a set of new and exciting characters to add to this wonderful story.

This is an awesome read. Victoria Wells put her foot in this one! If you loved A Special Summer as I did, you MUST read When Love Comes Around.

Victoria Wells shines in this heartwarming story of friends turn lovers. Her characters are loyal, sensuous, and funny. Form the girlfriends that are ready to "throw down" whenever one is threaten, to the men who are strong, dedicated, and loving. I love the intricate details used to carry us through the growth of Kevin and Starr as a couple. Revisiting some of the characters from A Special Summer made for a fast pace, page turning story with a wonderful surprise ending. (Poor Trina). I waited patiently for this book and completed it within a day of receiving it. When Love Comes Around was a wonderful reward for waiting. Five stars for Ms. Wells as she stays true to her sweet loving style of story telling. I look forward to Ava's secret past.

OMG! I thought A Special Summer was romance and drama filled! Well, that didn't have nothing on When Love Comes Around! Whew! I loved how Starr was thick and even as she grew thicker... Kevin still loved wanted and desired her! (Clapping hands) I can definitely relate to Starr as I too have dealt with the same health issues. This book made me laugh, cry and rejoice with each character as they overcame milestones. I love this crew and can't wait to read the next book in this series! Thank you Ms. Victoria, thank you!

Kevin and Starr's story was really good. I loved this series because they were all really close and stuck together no matter what. I enjoyed it, Victoria left no stone unturned and one could only wish that they would have friendships like this

I enjoyed the 2nd chapter of this series, probably a bit better than the first. I didn't feel hot chemistry from Kevin and Starr, but there was definitely something there, and they did have a sweet romance. I'm glad that this time around the heroine Starr was a very strong character, and the hero Kevin was very likable, unlike in A Special Summer (Love Conquers All) where you just wanted to murder Nick. It was nice to catch up with Summer and Nick and see that they were still doing well, and Nick did like a complete 180 so he has scored some cool points in my book. Overall I liked the book, but I think the love scenes could have been more steamier. That probably would have taken this up to a 4 star read for me.
