J. F. Gonzalez is a talented writer who has the skill to draw a reader into a dark world that they would otherwise never enter. While I have read several of his novels, this is the first collection of his shorter work that I have had the pleasure to encounter, and it has left me hungry for more. He takes you into the mind of a porn addict at the extreme and allows you to delve into this man's obsession that goes way past T&A. He shows you the consequences of a husband and wife's commitment to their daughter when they will do anything to keep her safe in such a crazy world. And more than once he gives you a glimpse of the true terror of religious extremism. This collection of short fiction has something for everyone, from the visceral to dark humor that teases terror. I can't wait for more.
