Miami attorney Jack Swyteck gets more than he bargained for when he defends a deranged homeless man known only as Falcon. Falcon is truly a man of mystery. Even though he lives in a car, he has $200,000 dollars stashed away in an offshore bank account. He's also made an enemy of Miami's powerful mayor because of his obsession with the mayor's police officer daughter, Alicia Mendoza. Jacks can't say he particularly likes Falscon, but he doesn't take it well when the mayor tries to strong arm him into doing a less than stellar defense job. Maybe Jack should have listened. For just hours after Falcon's release, a dead woman is found in the trunk of his car. The situation soon escalates, and Falcon ends up killing a cop and taking a hostage. Not good. And it's not going to get better unless Jack can get gorgeous Alicia Mendoza to help him figure out what's making Falcon soar to such heights of desperation...
