I love this author! The story of Anna's adventures with the giants are brought to life with Kevin Hawkes illustrations. We've worn out our first copy already, it's a picture book that brings out the imagination and lights up the kids.

The whimsy and playfulness of Andrea Beaty's text combined with Kevin Hawkes' always amazing illustrations make this a picture book that readers of all ages will enjoy. My 5-year-old son and I both love this perfect read-aloud book.

This is an amazing book! With wonderful pictures it makes the story come to life! I can't wait for the sequel. This author is a miracle! I would recommend any books written by her!

I was so delighted by the carefree view in "When the Giants Come to Play", I purchased 14 copies to give as Holiday Gifts! Reading the book, my imagination took me back to sunny warm days from my childhood with gentle breezes...laughter running rampid until my tummy hurt from laughing... and adventure that almost never ends. The book felt very safe, warm, and relaxing (just like a summer nap in a a hammock under a fuzzy blanket). The illustrations made the giants so real, friendly, and fun! I would recommend this book from Author, Andrea Beaty and Illustrator, Kevin Hawkes to any little/big people who love a feel good book with a twist of adventure! Am looking forward to this Author's next adventure!

This is a great book -- I love reading it to my 3 year old and she loves the pictures. The words are beautifully put together and the last few pages always manage to evoke a sense of relaxation and joy!

Definitely worth getting!

I love this book! I've bought copies for both of my nieces for Christmas presents, and they were very excited to read it. It's become one of their favorite books to have read to them before they go to sleep each night. The author has great imagination and I look forward to purchasing and enjoying her future books with my family.
