About the Author
J.R. Briggs is on staff at Calvary Church in Philadelphia, and was previously the pastor of Pierced Chapel, a vibrant emergent community of twentysomethings in Colorado Springs. He loves to read, skydive, play basketball, eat Nerds, camp, hike, ski and blog. He and his wife, Megan, have been married for five years.

I found this book to be superb. Never once preachy, J.R. Briggs still finds a way to make valid points in an engaging and thought-provoking manner. While still using Bible stories that I have heard numerous times, Briggs managed to tell the story in such a way that I was able to glean new information about the story. He deals with a challenging subject of not living an "okay" life, but living radically for Christ. He talks about risk, and how that's not an evil word, but a good one. A possibly life-changing book.
