A great newly recorded 2 CD set of spiritual songs by Jim Nabors. Contains some of the all time great hymns along with some newer songs. An all around nice set. Try It!

Jim Nabors is the best, I have 2 of his records. Most people know him as goofy Gomer Pyle from, Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., but he was one of the great singers of his time. Shazam!

This is a fabulous CD. It is uplifting and yet current. It has quality. It is so good to have a new selection of Jim Nabors. The music has a special sense of genuineness, and one feels that it reflects the personal experience of Nabors.

What great inspirational music this is! For many years I have enjoyed the smooth, deep voice of Jim Nabors, a voice that is joyous and double gay. I first listened to Nabors' music during my career as a chef in a prominant European restaurant. Many chutneys were prepared and salads were tossed to the tune of "How Great Thou Art" and "Peace In The Valley". These songs are spiritual and fulfilling and as warm as a night in Paradise, or even Super Paradise

I had heard a few tracks from this CD. I am not familiar with a lot of songs of worship. Jim Nabors has the perfect voice for these songs. The lyrics are so powerful and moving because of his artistry. I had to buy a copy for a dear friend who needed her heart refilled and uplifted. You will be as inspired as I was when you listen to "When He Spoke". The words are coming from Jim Nabors but you'll feel connected to more than a song on a CD.

I own them all, plus Jim is the subject of a website I have online, and the subject of a book I'm doing about his music. It is such a genuine pleasure to recommend this marvelous CD to one and all. There's never been a voice better than Jim's, and there never will be. He's a wonderful talent, a wonderful person, and such a delight to call a friend.

Who can resist the beautiful sound of Mr. Jim Nabors? He sings nice songs and his voice is strong and clear and heart-felt. This CD of religious songs was made after a long time away from the recording studio. The tradional religious songs were recorded before by Mr. Nabors and are all done quite nicely, but it is the new songs that stand out. "When He Spoke To Me", a duet with Cindy Wheeler, is my favorite-beautiful arrangement!

This album came out after Jim Nabors' liver transplant. He mentioned the prayers and support he received during that ordeal. It was so wonderful to hear him singing inspirational music again. His voice is still in top form. My high rating comes mostly from the second disc. The first one is comprised mostly of hymns he cut years before for Columbia. In most cases, the originals are superior. I especially missed the orchestration on "Take My Hand, Precious Lord." (That version first appeared on The Jim Nabors Hour LP.) There are many high points on Disc #2. The title song is incredible. Which female artist joined him? One of my favorites is "There's No Way." I was shocked to later hear Alabama's secular version. "Baptism" grows on you. "I Met An Old Friend Today" has a great truth that we often neglect. God's waiting for us to spend time with Him. "As It Is In Heaven" is a near remake. This song's Michael W. Smith's take on The Lord's Prayer. Jim Nabors cut Albert Malotte's version for both Columbia and Ranwood. This album should be part of your Jim Nabors collection. I would like to see all of his religious recordings on CD. They include: three albums and some scattered tracks on Columbia, plus two albums on Ranwood. Check out his version of "Precious Memories!" (It first appeared on his Ranwood album "I See God.")
