Jocelyn has grown vocally from her previous CD and I was pleasantly surprised at how mature her voice is becoming. Obviously working with Amber and Ultra Nate on "If You Could Read My Mind" really rubbed off on her. This song at first listening sounds like a mixture of the melodic structure of Amber's "Above the Clouds" with the lyrical sensuality of "Sexual (Li Da Di)." "This physical attraction just won't go away. I fight this feeling, but it gets stronger every day. When I get close to you, I feel like making love. When I get close to you, I feel like playing rough." The Thunderpuss remix fills the song with roaring synth lines that really bring out Jocelyn's voice. It also has touches of Latin drum rhythms added to it which really give the club mix a nice kick. The radio edit, club mix, and the dub all will get you moving. They are all very well crafted and lift her music to a new level. GREAT! The Cubanito mixes sound more latin freestyle-influenced with a Cher's "Believe" vocal mutation that really gives it a nice touch. They remind me of her previous song style on "Do You Miss Me." The Lectroluv mix is great as well. It has arrangement stylings that remind me of a Hex Hector remix. It adds little touches of synthesizer and drums that make it stand out from the other mixes, while staying in the true dance style of the song. Jocelyn is growing into a great artist whose audience should expand beyond the dance world. This song might just break her more into mainstream radio. Once you hear the chorus, it sticks in your head and won't let go. Very much worth the money!

This is another great song by dance diva Jocelyn Enriquez and Thunderpuss has once again created another dance club classic. I am very impressed with these two producers/remixers (Chris Cox & Barry Harris) and I hope that they will continue to "create" for years to come. The lyrics to this song are simple and really "catchy." You will be hooked in a second... There are a total of 8 tracks to listen to and decide which one best suits your taste. "When I get close to you" is a great song. This cd is worth buying if your a fan of Jocelyn Enriquez or dance music in general. Jocelyn's vocals are amazing and the music fits perfectly. Once you hear this song you won't be able to get it off your mind. With songs like this it won't be long before Jocelyn hits mainstream and takes over the industry.

There was just something about "Do You Miss Me?" that made it an instant classic. However, the "something" lacks in "When I Get Close To You." It isn't as catchy as any of the songs on her debut album, and because it sounds TOO much like Amber's "Sexual," it is easily forgettable. I suppose it's worth a listen, but only if you're really into Jocelyn. Otherwise, it's not worth your time - and I see the radio stations feel the same.

Love, love, love this single! Definitely a dance floor killer with a bit of that retro 70's "Latin sensibilities", but a very 90s dance/pop mix. It reminds me of the power of "Don't Leave Me This Way" by Thelma Houston! An absolute must-have for dance pop music lovers.

Thunderpuss 2000 is UNSTOPPABLE! Their latest Billboard #1 dance hit is AMAZING - it seems as if everything they touch turns to gold. Jocelyn's vocals on this track are awesome, and Thunderpuss' remixing makes this a home run.
