I think they only made about 500,000 copies of it, and it is one of the hardest cds it took for me to get. Although there is only 6 songs not including the hidden track, i think its a good value.I became a diehard incubus fan only a half a year ago, and i was really surprised that i found it so quickly, in about two months. But it was not easy, if u buy it on Borders.com ull get it in 24 hours, but if u look for this import (ep) in stores you wont have a lot of luck.

1- Pardon Me ( Acoustic)- 9/10 its still great but its a little weird hearing it in an acoustic version.

2-Stellar (Acoustic)- 10/10 my favorite on the cd, sounds so good in acoustic.

3-Make Yourself (Acoustic)- 7/10 wasn't one of my favorites on the make yourself album but its still good.

4-Crowded Elevator- 9/10- It was suppposed to be on the Make Yourself Album.

5-Favorite Things- (Live) 10/10- I think its ounds better live.

6-Pardon Me- (Live) 10/10- Another one of my favorite songs on the lp, its makes u get this feeling your there because the crowd gets so into it.

7- Hidden Track?- 6/10- sorta of funny song, but its a mystery.

For a band that usually flaunts the clean, baritone vocals of Brandon Boyd, "When Incubus Attacks" is not something many Incubus fans thought would happen. But after the success of the more acoustic-based songs on "Make Yourself," I suppose the band thought some credit was due to ever-improving guitarist Michael Einsiger. The obvious point, already stated by many reviewers here is the limited supply of the mini-album. So if you enjoy the new Incubus sound and like raw, acoustic music pick one up while they're available.

Two FANTASTIC versions of "Pardon Me" are available here, one completely acoustic and one live, electric with full band. The acoustic version shows the guts of the song and the skills of Einsiger; he plays many bluesy chords, augmented chords, and some that sound almost made-up. Very artsy. "Stellar" also sounds quite amazing acoustic, a nice change of pace from the grungier versions most people heard on the radio. An unreleased, full-band song "Crowded Elevator" may be the real incentive to buy for many die-hard incubators. I was a little bit upset that it was not included on "Morning View" released earlier this year. There is also a live version of "Favorite Things" for those who liked the "SCIENCE" album. Some real good stuff here.

For the first half of this EP, the singer and guitarist from Incubus each take a seat and do 3 acoustic versions from the "Make Yourself" disc. If you are familiar with the CD, then this EP will most likely be a treat. It is very nice to hear a different twist on the tunes, not to mention that the lyrics are well enunciated throughout the acoustic versions of "Pardon Me", "Stellar" and "Make Yourself". The profane words really ring out in the acoustic version. They are very stripped-down basic tracks, which is good for this setting. "Crowded Elevator" is a track that was also on the Scream 3 album. It is a good track that would have fit very well on the "Make Yourself" CD. The song is performed by the full band (drums, bass, the whole nine yards) and the song is very worth a listen. The EP rounds out with live, rocking versions of "Favorite Things" (From S.C.I.E.N.C.E.) and "Pardon Me", complete with turntables and very clean good -sounding lyrics. The production on the live tracks is a little substandard, but that's the case with most live recordings. The songs are also worth listening to. The "hidden track" past song 6 is not worth much of a mention. It kind of sounded like a drugged out hip-hop tune (reminiscent of Onyx or the like), but someone is bound to appreciate it. My only gripe is that they didn't do the entire album- there were some of their other songs I found myself wanting to hear in the acoustic format after the disc was over. This is a real good EP- good songs and a good concept. It's just that 6 songs and a hidden track at the end just weren't enough.

While this EP is not essential to everyone's CD collection, it is a nice addition. All Incubus fans will know of these songs as soon as they read the track listing, but the songs have all been "remixed", if you will, on performed live. The live versions of "Favorite Things" and "Pardon Me" are spectacular, and the acoustic versions also show Incubus' musical depth. There is another track on this EP called "Crowded Elevator", which was also on the "Scream 3" soundtrack. I don't care much for this song, and it is one of the reasons that this collection didn't get five stars and only four. A run-down of the six track on a scale of one to five... 1. Pardon Me Acoustic- You have probably heard this song on your local rock radio station, but this song sounds a little bit weird with its slowed-down tempo, but this song is good in its own behalf (4.5/5) 2. Stellar Acoustic- The best acoustic version on this EP, this song was screaming to have an acoustic version done to it. The slow tempo and great lyrics make this song a winner (5/5) 3. Make Yourself Acoustic- Cool song, but wasn't really made to be put into acoustic format. As with "Pardon Me", it sounds funny without the usual heavier tone. The song is good, but not perfect (4/5) 4. Crowded Elevator- Like I said before, this song was on the "Scream 3" soundtrack, and I don't care for it much. For people who haven't heard it, it has a very funky feel, and it sounds like any other Incubus song (2.5/5) 5. Favorite Things Live-I loved this song on S.C.I.E.N.C.E., and I love it again on "When Incubus Attacks Vol. 1". This song gives me chills when I hear it and it was played practically perfectly (4.5/5) 6. Pardon Me Live-Perfect. Just perfect. I love this song, and it sounds even cooler played live (5/5) Overall, this album is a worthy addition to your collection, but since bigger Incubus fans may already know these songs by heart, it may not be essential to their collection.

First of all, here is a WARNING: Only 100,000 were made, for the WHOLE world to have, and after a year of its release there are still some floating around. Granted, some are real;I got mine this March and it's an official release, but there are some Canadian Imports floating around. How to spot one: Well, everything is the same. Same packaging and songs, quality. The only thing is that on the back, it says "Product of Canada". Well, if you're the casual listener you probably don't care, but if you're a diehard fan/collector, then this means you DO NOT have one of the first 100,000. Got it? Good.
Now, this is just an awesome EP! Better than Enjoy! All three acoustics sound great. Mike is a genius guitar player, and this just confirms that. Crowded Elevator is seriously one of my favorite Incubus songs. I dont know why almost no one likes it. It's got a great beat and message, plus a real great guitar part. Pardon Me and Favorite Things show how great they are live. Smokin the Herb Again (bonus song) is a real treat, a song done by Kilmore, Mike, and Jose.

Incubus has attacked on this six song E.P., complete with a little bonus track at the end of the sixth song. If you're looking to get a feel for just how skilled the musicians in Incubus are, pick up this CD. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The first three tracks are acoustic renditions of some of the best songs off of their album Make Yourself, which if you don't have that yet, you should definitely pick up as well. It takes a lot of talent to pull off playing acoustic and making it sound good, and they've done it! And if you're looking for a taste of the energy Incubus exudes when they're on stage the last two live tracks do just that. You can hear the energy they're giving the crowd and the energy the crowd is givcing right back! There's nothing like Incubus live, I can't wait to see them again! But in the meantime, get this E.P. for just a little taste!

Incubus saw an opportunity to capitalize on it's recent ozzfest popularity by releasing this six song ep. For those who are familiar with Incubus' previous albums you know that their songs tend to jump from verse to verse with with no regard for todays conventional music . THIS IS A GOOD THING. However "When Incubus Attacks" sticks to a more radio friendly style. The three acoustic songs are great but they don't have the unique feel of their oringinal versions. As for the other songs, crowded elevator is not a great song, but incubus fans will want it anyway, buying it on this cd saves you from wasting money on the scream 3 soundtrack. Live versions of favorite things and pardon me are crisp and clean with lots of, and sometimes distracting, crowd noise in the background. After the live pardon me is a hidden rap song totally different from anything else I have ever heard from the band. Not only is it funny, but it's a pretty good song. Overall this cd is great, true incubus fans can never have enough of this band. Even if it is a change of pace.

Ok I didnt even understand this cd at first. But I think its worth getting for the hidden track alone. It's titled "Smoking the Herb Again", many ppl think it's not even Incubus singing the song, and it doesnt help that they deny it. But they also make up a million differant stories about Chuck. But alas it is Incubus singing the song (hi Jose and Kilmores voices are very distinct). I love Live Versions of ANY song. And Crowded Elevators is an ok song I guess. I think that only hard-core incubus fans should get this cd. If you are just starting out, start with Make Yourself.

Wow, I hunted down this CD for over a year before finally finding it in a little local music shop. I never thought I would find a copy of it (WIA is a limited edition CD, something like 500,000 copies were only made) but here it is. I already have the acoustic versions of Pardon Me & Stellar plus Crowded Elevator, which can be found on pretty much any Incubus non-LP CD, but the live tracks are what is so great. It was worth hunting down this little gem just for the live version of Pardon Me. It was performed so well and the crowd was just so into it. It's like hearing that same played out song for the first time again. The acoustic version of Make Yourself is kind of awkward and the hidden track is good for a chuckle. The highlights of this EP are definetly the acoustic & live versions of Pardon Me.

Seeing as this is an Incubus CD, of course I love it. But I love this for another reason. The acoustic versions of Pardon Me, Stellar, and Make Yourself are atounding. These versions show the range of Brandon Boyd's voice if you didn't already know. Mike shows how amazing he is at the guitar, he mixes up Pardon Me a lot, and Stellar is almost as good as the original. The live tracks prove that Incubus sound just as good as any studio recording. Plus the fact that Pardon Me and Favorite Things are two of my favorite songs by them doesn't hurt either. They sound as if they were recorded during the Sno Core tour with System of a Down. This also contains the hidden track Smoking The Herb Again. It's a very trippy song with a pretty good beat, well worth a listen.

On to Crowded Elevator. This song is off of the Scream 3 soundtrack and it's also one of the most experimental tracks they have done. The lyrics are so strange that you can't help but think they're brilliant, the guitar work is perfect, the drumming is chaotic, the bass is great, and the turntables couldn't be better. I am completely infatuated with this song, this song alone is worth the price (which isn't bad at all).

The best songs are Pardon Me (both versions), Stellar, and Crowded Elevator. Like I said though, every song is a personal favorite and as any Incubus fan will tell you, is worth the money.
