5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for All Parents
This book is a must-read for all parent's of teens and pre-teens. Dr. Clark's research and insight break important new ground. What he finds does raise concern, but with insight comes the opportunity to avoid a lot of avoidable pain and heartache for both teens and their families. Don't miss this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great Content, but Kindle version Missing Many Letters and Words
Chap Clark and company have written a good companion to his earlier work "Hurt", however the Kindle edition has so many missing letters, words, etc. that some of the time I could hardly decipher what was being said! This is my first problem like this with my Kindle and I hope it's the last... or I"ll be afraid to buy any more e-editions! Kudos to Clark for doing a good...

This is my first problem like this with my Kindle and I hope it's the last... or I"ll be afraid to buy any more e-editions! Kudos to Clark for doing a good job with an important topic, but rotten tomatoes for those responsible for transforming it into an e-book. In conclusion, unless you hear that this problem has been resolved, buy this book, but not the Kindle version!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great insight!, September 10, 2010

I felt this book has great insight into the Teen culture of today.

I have worked with high school students for 2 decades now and agree with much that this book asserts. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a teen, or has younger children who want to see what effects their actions (and the actions of society) can have on their children. It really made me think as I have a 4 month old son myself, how do I counter the effects of materialistic self-centered society.

Hope you enjoy it and become part of the solution, and (like me) stop being part of the problem. (I found that there were some ways that I had unwillingly become part of the problem.
